The Necramechs in Warframe are dated Entrati machines that were used in warfare before the existence of frames. Players that have a Necramech can control them with transference and deploy them in battle. These war machines will first be encountered in Cambion Drift on Deimos.

Necramechs are powerful tools that can fight through waves of enemies with ease. They also provide a different way to play the game, and a new experience for seasoned players. With eight years of Warframe in the books, it is nice that a new feature was added to the title. This list will outline how to get a Necramech, the two different types of Mechs, and how to level the machines up.

Prerequisites To Unlock A Necramech

Before gamers will be able to get their own Necramech, they will need to complete the quest called "A War Within." Completing the quest will unlock the Tenno mode, which is needed to operate the Necramech. Additionally, the weapon blueprints needed to construct the Necramech require at least an MR 14. Players will then be able to rank up their Necraloid standing as well.

Necraloid Vendor

The first step to unlocking the Necramech is completing the initial quest on Deimos called Necralisk. After completing the quest, Frames should fast travel to Loid and turn operator mode on. Loid is the Necraloid vendor that will sell each of the blueprints needed to build the Necramech.

Players will need to reach max Necraloid standing to purchase all of the necessary parts. This should not be an issue, as almost every frame will reach max loyalty before all of the parts can be purchased.

Farming Resources

To acquire the necessary items for the blueprints, gamers are going to spend a lot of time farming in the Isolation Vaults. Rewards are based on how quickly the Vaults are cleared, and there is around a 5% chance the essential items will be in the rewards. The Cortege Stock, Receiver, and Barrel have a chance to drop from the Vaults as well, but at an even lower probability. Each Vault run takes about 40 minutes, and it will take at least 20 playthroughs on average to acquire all of the necessary materials.

Completing The Vaults

Frames will be put into one of three Isolation Vault runs. If any players in a party leave before the final run is complete, solo queue gamers can luck out and get into the second or final run. The stages themselves are relatively straightforward. In phase one, frames will need to collect Vome Residue, deposit it in a bait collection container, and defend it.

Killing The Infested And Finding The Necramech

Next, gamers will need to place the bait in the wall and kill all of the infested. After the infested are killed, players will head into the initial vault to kill their first Necramech. Players need to keep in mind that they will need to complete all three vaults to receive the rare rewards for the blueprints. After finishing stage one, gamers will need to look for the mother that provides the second stage of the Vaults.

Necramech Attacks

Fighting the Necramech is straightforward, but getting downed is inevitable at some point. The Necramechs will shoot guns and melee, but they have two signature abilities. The first is a grenade attack that scatters several grenades around the Mech, dealing a lot of damage. These grenades should be avoided if possible. The second ability is a shield that forms around the Mech. When the shield is active, the Mech will glow blue. Players can damage the Mech while it is shielded by using void attacks or shooting it in the back.

Necramech Vulnerabilities And Finishing The Vault

The arms, shoulders, and back of the Necramech are the weak points. Gamers will want to focus either gunfire or melee attacks in these areas to defeat the enemy as quickly as possible.

While almost all of the frames will suffice, Excalibur is one of the best options because of how much melee damage he deals with each strike. Using a defensive frame can work, but it will take longer to destroy the Mech. The final tasks in the Vaults are simple. Frames need to find the Vault room, use void to destroy the energy crystal, protect Loid, and hit the corresponding symbols to open the Vault.

Bonewidow Skin

Tenno have the option to use either the Bonewidow or Voidrig Necramech. The Bonewidow is a melee-based Necramech that is optimized for solo modes due to its survivability. Bonewidow's Meathook ability will drain the life of enemies, dealing damage and restoring health. In terms of skills, Bonewidow is more versatile in combat. The Mech is not very adept at range, however.

Voidrig Skin

The Voidrig is often seen as the superior option because it deals more damage with the Guard Mode Ability. When the ability is active, Voidrig will decimate enemies at any distance. Unlike Bonewidow, Voidrig can be used outside of open-world areas and has a higher DPS.

Unless gamers enjoy melee combat way more than they enjoy ranged combat, the Voidrig is the obvious choice. The only downside to the Mech is that it does not have a healing ability, making the Bonewidow a better choice for solo open-world content.

Leveling The Necramech

Steel Path bounties on Deimos are an option, but they will be difficult to complete solo, especially with a new Mech. Players can level up quickly doing vault runs, but those have likely gotten stale after grinding to unlock the Mech. The best method is to invade Corpus bases in Orb Vallis. Mechs will level up relatively quickly, and the enemies will be a low enough level to defeat convincingly.
