Warframe's latest update, the Heart of Deimos, contains not only a new open world for players to explore but also controllable mech suits and the Helminth System. Whether a player is new or a long-time player, there is a plethora of new content to explore on Deimos. For new players, though, it can be quite confusing learning how to reach the Cambion Drift itself.

Multiple Junctions, quests, and many planetary nodes will prevent players that have just started playing Warframe from jumping into the new update. While it seems like a daunting task to complete this much content, most of it can be skipped if the player focuses on a few tasks at hand. Here is a complete guide to unlocking the Cambion Drift open world in Warframe.

10 Complete "Vor's Prize"

Any player that starts up Warframe for the first time will be greeted with the opening mission for "Vor's Prize." This introductory quest is mandatory for all players as it explains the fundamentals of the game. This quest recently received a few changes by making the opening mission more intuitive while also teaching players how to use Parkour 2.0. Follow what the star chart asks, remove the bolt Vor placed, and take the boss down.

9 Complete The Earth To Venus Junction

Completing "Vor's Prize" should complete most of the requirements for the Earth to Venus Junction, but there might still be categories the player hasn't fulfilled. To battle the boss inside the Junction, players will need to complete "Vor's Prize," collect 20 Mods, apply 4 Mods to a single Warframe or weapon, and rank up any mod to rank 2 or higher.

Collecting mods can be easily done through Plains of Eidolon bounties or the Dark Sector nodes Tikal and Coba. As for upgrading Mods, reach the Modding station in the Orbiter directly across from the Foundry. Select a Mod, click on the Fusion upgrade on the top right of the UI, and upgrade a mod to rank 2 or higher. This will cost Endo. Players can find Endo rarely from dead foes, as mission rewards, and by turning in Ayatan Sculptures to Maroo on Mars—although players will be unable to do this until much later. Beat the boss in the Junction and progress through Venus.

8 Clear The Venus To Mercury Junction

Reaching Mercury is necessary to unlock the "Heart of Deimos" quest. To unlock Mercury, players must complete the Venus to Mercury Junction. This Junction requires players to defeat the Jackal at Fossa on Venus, complete 10 waves of Defense at Tessera on Venus, complete Linea on Venus, and defeat 5 eximus foes.

Eximus targets can be completed during the Defense mission on Tessera. The further a player survives in an endless game mode, the more likely Eximus are to spawn. Rescue missions can be speedrun by moving to extraction as fast as possible after evacuating a hostage. As long as the player is by themselves, the hostage will repeatedly teleport to the player and never take damage. Finally, Jackal on Fossa is a rather tough fight that requires a solid understanding of parkour. Don't be afraid of finding a team to take this boss down. Once all four objectives are complete, enter the Mercury Junction and take down the Specter that lies within.

7 Complete "Once Awake"

Before players enter the Infested open world on Deimos, players must first get properly introduced to the faction. That is exactly what the "Once Awake" quest does. Players will need to investigate a mysterious Grineer bioweapon that turns out to be the ancient Infested threat. Investigate what the Grineer are doing, devise a plan to stop the Infested on Mercury, and take them down to complete the quest and progress the main story. It also grants the Heat Sword Blueprint on completion, a solid sword that deals significant damage against fleshy targets such as the Infested.

6 Clear Suisei On Mercury

Far within Mercury's missions is Suisei, a Spy mission that requires players to hack into data terminals without being detected. "Once Awake" does introduce players to this game type, but players will definitely want to hone their stealth or parkour skills to complete this mission. Completing Suisei is needed to finish the Earth to Mars Junction, which is needed to unlock the Cambion Drift.

5 Finish The Earth To Mars Junction

At this stage, players should have most of the Earth to Mars Junction requirements finished. Players will need to finish the "Once Awake" quest, defeat 150 Frontier Grineer on Earth, collect 500 Rubedo, and complete Suisei on Mercury. If players haven't collected enough Rubedo, farming Tikal or Coba on Earth will grant a significant amount of Rubedo. As with the last two Junctions, enter the mission when ready and take the Specter boss down.

4 Begin The "Heart Of Deimos Quest"

Mars's Junction grants a large number of rewards, one of which is the "Heart of Deimos" quest. To start it, head to the Codex directly across from the Market in the player's ship. From here, look for the "Heart of Deimos" quest and select it. Begin the quest to receive a message from Loid about the Entrati requesting assistance. To reach Deimos proper, players will need to carve a path through Mars.

3 Reach Kadesh On Mars

The fastest way to reach Kadesh is to complete Hellas, Spear, Ares, Martialis, War, and then Kadesh itself. Most of these missions are fairly trivial excluding War, a node that contains the Lt. Lech Kril boss fight. Join a group of other players to make this fight easier. Focus on Kril's back tubes when he is recovering from his melee attack and repeat until he ignites himself. Burst the boss down to kill him. For players that are struggling to beat Mars, consider farming the Jackal on Venus to obtain the Rhino Warframe. Beating Kadesh will unlock Deimos.

2 Complete Horend And Phlegyas On Deimos

Horend is a Capture mission on the Orokin Derelict while Phlegyas is an Exterminate against the Infested on the same tileset. For players struggling to take down the Capture target, now is a good time to reach Mastery Rank 4 and build the Hek shotgun. This is one of the strongest early-game weapons players can use and works well alongside Rhino. Phlegyas should be trivial as long as players have been upgrading their mods. Once both are finished, players should be able to enter the Cambion Drift to start the "Heart of Deimos" quest.

1 Enter The Cambion Drift

Loid will greet players upon landing and request that they help reduce the Infested presence on Deimos. These enemies are much tougher than anything the player has faced thus far, so bring the best gear possible. Remember to use parkour maneuvers as much as possible here to get across the moon quickly. Alternatively, players can complete activities on the Orb Vallis on Venus to obtain a K-Drive.

"Heart of Deimos" will guide players through the Entrati Syndicate, typical bounty activities, underground caves, Vaults, as well as the new Necramech system. Do what the family asks to finish this questline. Once finished, players will be able to do any activity on this planet at their leisure, although not every mission will be possible if the player doesn't have high-ranked Mods and finished builds on their Warframes and weapons.
