Power. Precision. Prestige! The pinnacle of the warsmith's art! Forget about the Hyena Pack, that line best describes anything that makes a warframe powerful in Warframe. Mods are at the forefront of this aspect and currently, one of the most powerful out of all them are the Galvanized Mods. They're directly competing for Riven Mods, but are better since there's less randomization for their stats.

As always with Warframe, it can be rather daunting for newbies or even intermediate players to fully grasp added mechanics. The game loves to pile on its features and gimmicks without fleshed-out tutorials, after all. Hence, a proper guide is in order to easer some of the players into obtaining Warframe's practically best weapon mods.

What Are Galvanized Mods?

Players might be wondering what exactly Galvanized Mods are, apart from their being a relatively new feature. For starters, mods are modifications that come in the form of cards. These allow players to customize their weapons and warframes statistically and come up with some unique and efficient builds.

Galvanized Mods are currently limited as weapons mods. Their difference compared to their regular counterparts is that they have a slightly lower initial stat. This could be lower Headshot, Status Chance, Multishot, etc.

So what makes them more powerful? The answer lies in Galvanized Mods' second modifier, which is also a passive trigger that activates "On Kill." That is to say, it activates whenever a player or warframe kills an enemy using the weapon equipped with the Galvanized Mod. Once triggered, the Galvanized Mod's secondary modifier will activate. These can be incremental numbers to the initial stats, which are always on.

The beauty in Galvanized Mods is that these incremental stats will stack up to a maximum number of times if players keep racking up the kills. Once the max number of "On Kill," stacks have been achieved, the Galvanized Mods' stat increase comes out significantly more compared to its regular mod counterparts.

The downside is that there is an upkeep to maintain for Galvanized Mods since their incremental bonuses only last for a certain number of seconds, usually in the 10 to 20-second range. That means players will need to keep topping up the bonus duration with their kills. Each Galvanized Mod has a different set of modifiers and different weapon-type compatibility, as listed below.

Rifles

Galvanized Aptitude

galvanized aptitude in warframe
  • +80% Status Chance
  • On Kill: +40% Direct Damage per Status Type affecting the target for 20s. Stacks up to 2x.

Galvanized Aptitude is the best weapon mod players can put into weapons that specialize in dealing status damage. Any weapon with a status chance above 20% should do. However, given Galvanized Aptitude's second stat, players can likely get away with putting it on any fast Rifle weapon. The status chance after that will still reach reliable proc levels.

Galvanized Chamber

Warframe-Strun-Prime
  • +80% Multishot
  • On Kill: +30% Multishot for 20s. Stacks up to 5x.

Multishot has always been the best powerhouse modifier for a projectile weapon, and Galvanized Chamber cranks it up to eleven. If players manage to keep killing enemies, then the Multishot total granted by this mod can go as high as +230%. Split Chamber, which is the regular mod that gives Multishot for Rifles, only gives 90%. Take not that that mod won't stack with Galvanized Chamber.

Galvanized Scope

warframe-galvanized-shot-modding-1
  • On Headshot: +120% Critical Chance when Aiming for 12s
  • On Headshot Kill: +40% Critical Chance when Aiming for 12s. Stacks up to 5x.

Galvanized Scope was made with Sniper Rifles or slow Rifle-type weapons in mind, though it's still viable across all fire rate ranges. It's a massive +320 percent Critical Chance, which will easily make any Rifle with Critical Chance above 20% do red Crit numbers. It's arguably better than any of the previous Critical Chance mods.

Shotguns

Galvanized Acceleration

warframe galvanized mod testing
  • +30% Projectile Speed/Beam Length
  • On Kill: +30% Projectile Speed/Beam Length for 10s. Stacks up to 2x.

Galvanized Acceleration has a bit of a niche purpose, as it's best used for Shotgun-type weapons with a beam projectile. This allows those weapons to clear rooms astonishingly fast. For those that shoot pellets, however, it's not as alluring as direct damage mods. To make up for this, Galvanized Acceleration fits in the Exilus mod slot, which is practically a free slot.

Galvanized Hell

warframe galvanized mod testing on corrupted
  • +110% Multishot
  • On Kill: +30% Multishot for 20s. Stacks up to 4x.

Multishot on a Shotgun can be utterly devastating, regardless of whether they have a projectile or beam ammunition. That's probably why Galvanized Hell plays it conservatively and only allows for +230 percent Multishot total. Even so, it should be an automatic inclusion in any build.

Galvanized Savvy

Warframe-Galvanized-Savvy
  • +80% Status Chance
  • On Kill: +40% Direct Damage per Status Type affecting the target for 20s. Stacks up to 2x.

Shotguns are already great as Status damage weapons, but Galvanized Savvy makes them even more formidable. If players play their cards (or mods) right, then they're looking at more than +500% Direct Damage (on the low-end) because any Status effect originating from any source (including warframe abilities & other weapons/players) is counted.

Pistol

Galvanized Crosshairs

warframe galvanized weapon test in mission
  • On Headshot: +120% Critical Chance when Aiming for 12s
  • On Headshot Kill: +40% Critical Chance when Aiming for 12s. Stacks up to 5x.

Galvanized Crosshairs is the Galvanized Scope version of Pistol Galvanized mods, and it deals comparable damage. It's highly useful for beam weapons as it's easier to hold fire with those while aiming. It does work great with any Pistol though, especially those that focus on Critical Chance.

Galvanized Diffusion

galvanized diffusion modding in warframe
  • +110% Multishot
  • On Kill: +30% Multishot for 20s. Stacks up to 4x.

Galvanized Diffusion is the Multishot Galvanized mod for Pistol weapons, and it works about the same as the Rifle version. It's best used for beam or hitscan weapons of course, as Multishot can be difficult to hit in a pinpoint accuracy for weapons with projectile ammunition.

Galvanized Shot

galvanized-mod-upgrade-in-warframe-1
  • +80% Status Chance
  • On Kill: +40% Direct Damage per Status Type affecting the target for 14s. Stacks up to 3x.

For Status Pistol weapons, nothing can beat Galvanized Shot, as it adds a hefty amount of Status Chance. It's also different compared to the Shotgun and Rifle variants as Galvanized Shot's On Kill bonus stacks up to three times instead, resulting in astronomical amounts of damage.

How To Get Galvanized Mods

Warfarme-Arbitration-Honors-Stock-1

With all that's been said and done, the most important bit of information here would be how to actually obtain these Galvanized Mods. That's simple enough: The Arbiters of Hexis in any Relay will sell them to players. Each Galvanized Mod costs 20 Vitus Essence.

Vitus Essences are only available as rewards from Arbitration events, which are rotating endgame content designed to test the players' warframe configurations. If that's too hard for anyone, then they can at least trade with other players for these Galvanized Mods, assuming they don't need the bragging rights.
