Amps are special weapons that can be used to enhance the combat capability of the Warframe they're equipped to. They have three components: the Prism, Scaffold, and Brace. When these are created, Warframe players can name their amps and even customize their colors and features. Some amps are better than others, but all of them are worth equipping to make Warframes stronger than ever.

Updated July 1, 2023 by Rhenn Taguiam: With the Duviri Paradox update giving Warframe players access to much fiercer foes and more satisfying rewards, players need to equip their Tenno with the best kit possible. Thankfully, a Warframe’s Amp gives Operators access to a modular weapon that can turn the tide of combat against various foes, with certain setups tailored to specific combat styles.

The right Amp can greatly boost the Operator’s efficiency in combat, especially if their Amp syncs properly with the player’s choice of abilities. In terms of an Operator’s best Amp choice, combinations include a beginner-friendly kit, a Sentient-purging setup, a Riven farming weapon, and an Amp that relies heavily on high-damage gameplay.

14 527: Anti-Sentient Kit

A Tenno fighting Sentients

Players enjoying their Warframe gameplay know they don’t always get to encounter Sentients, but their adaptive nature makes them extremely annoying for warriors who fight with certain status types. With the 5-2-7 Anti-Sentient Kit, players can outpace Sentients in their resistance adaptability by gunning them faster than they can counter.

The main part of this Anti-Sentient Kit is the Cantic Prism and its three-shot burst capability, which at high levels can eliminate Sentients with ease. The next component is the semi-auto Shraksun Scaffold, whose explosive ordinances have AOE and can bypass status chances. Lastly, the Certus Brace boosts the critical chance of all the Amp’s firing modes.

13 111: Beginner Repulsion

After players access their first Mote Amp, this Beginner Repulsion Amp setup makes for an accessible newcomer kit when interacting with the Quills. The easy-build nature of the 1-1-1 kit extends to its ease of controls, offering a quick-shot main firing mode and a charged shot secondary mode. Despite its inclination to fit beginners, this 1-1-1 kit can help players last through the mid-game as they earn more components for a better build.

To acquire this Warframe setup, players can rely on the high-range and high-crit semi-auto Raplak Prism paired with the charged single-shot capabilities of the Pencha Scaffold. Capping this kit is the Clapkra Brace, which can boost the max energy of the Amp by 40.

12 664: Riven Cash Flow

A Warframe preparing to fight

Players enjoying their Warframe combat who want to get as many Credits as possible can consider selling high-powered Riven Mods as an easy way to make a profit. But in order to get enough Riven Mods, players need to defeat Kuva Siphons located in Kuva Clouds. Theoretically, all Amps can help players push through their Kuva pursuits, but the Riven Cash Flow boosts the player’s defenses when facing more powerful Kuva Guardians and Kuva Jesters that accompany Siphons.

Integral to this 6-6-4 kit are the Lega Prism and Dissic Scaffold, both of which can dish out heavy AOE damage through beams and cluster bombs, respectively. Meanwhile, capping the kit is the Anspatha Brace that gives +20 Amp Max Energy and +15% Amp and Operator Energy Regeneration. When used correctly, the two weapons should be able to clear mobs fast enough before they get to overwhelm players with their numbers.

11 377: Raw Damage Numbers

A Duel between two Warframes

Gamers who want to go all out in their Warframe gameplay may want a straightforward Amp that contributes to their overall DPS. This is what Raw Damage Numbers does, as this 3-7-7 kit capitalizes on crowd control and raw damage potential to increase the player’s damage output without making combat complicated.

Key to the setup is the Granmu Prism and Propa Scaffold, both grenades with large AOEs with a three-shot and single-shot component, respectively. Capping this setup is the Cetus Brace, which gives a 20% Critical Chance boost to both firing modes of the Amp. When used properly, the two weapons should provide a steady damage stream and leave it to the player’s Operator to inflict status effects.

10 223: Good For Low-Level Eidolon

Steel Meridian in warframe

Players who are in the beginning stages of the Planes of Eidolon section of Warframe will benefit from using the 2-2-3 amp combination. This should be updated once someone unlocks the later amp components, but for an early-level player, this is a solid, viable choice that can be very effective.

To form this amp combination, players want to combine the Shwaak Prism, Shraksun Scaffold, and Lohrin Brace. It is important to note that while utilizing this amp combination players should use a Volt shield in order to increase their critical damage, which is useful when needing to deal with lots of enemies such as during Warframe defense games.

9 332: Another Solid Low-Level Eidolon Choice

GranmuPrismWarframe

Those looking to take care of Vomvalysts with ease should consider checking out the 3-3-2 amp combination. The Granmu Prism is ideal for making short work of waves of foes. It does less damage on impact but adds splash damage to the mix, allowing players to cleave through hordes so long as shots are semi-on-target. The Kelbrik Scaffold will help players completely decimate enemies, even behind cover, thanks to its auto-targeting beam. It will even hit foes that are behind cover and it manages to proc critical and status effects often.

This build is rounded out with the Juttni, which helps to reduce the AMP recharge delay (by 1 second). One second may not seem like a heavy boost but dedicated players will likely see the difference.

8 112: For Very Early Players

A 1-1-2 amp combination is suited for very early-game players that want a refined version of the 1-1-1-, the first amp combination offered in the game. To form the 1-1-2 amp combination, players will need to combine the components Raplak Prism, Pencha Scaffold, and Juttni Brace.

This amp combination combines semi-auto, long-range combat with a charged beam and -1 Amp Charge Delay. Players should look to change this option to a better amp combination as soon as possible; however, when not faced with many choices, the 1-1-2 will suffice, even on the most complicated Warframes in the game.

7 236: For Siphoning Kuva

WarframeKuva

Love it or hate it, one of the main mechanics in Warframe is grinding. Players that have made their way through the base game will find themselves grinding out materials to get stronger and one of the more annoying materials to gather for some is Kuva. The 2-3-6 Amp combination makes it much easier to harvest these clouds, as they must be dashed through, void blasted, or struck with an Amp. By carrying the Shwaak Prism, Klebrik Scaffold, and Plaga Brace, players will be able to effortlessly strike these clouds when the time comes.

The Klebrik Scaffold will keep enemies at bay thanks to its auto-locking beam and the Shwaak Prism can unleash a short-range explosion. All of this is made better by a 1.5 second reduced recharge delay from the brace.

6 223: For Mid-Range Players

A 2-2-3 amp combination can be a solid choice, particularly in the early to mid-stage of the game. While players should definitely look to update this when they can, it is still viable for a great deal of the starting stages of Warframe's Eidolon section.

To make this amp combination, players need the Shwaak Prism, Sharksun Scaffold, and the Lohrin Brace. This amp combination is useful for dealing Impact damage, making it effective against many of the bosses present on the Planes of Eidolon. The 2-2-3 is best when paired up with Warframe melee weapons that deal Impact damage, especially when using the Excalibur Warframe.

5 177: For Solo Players Desiring DPS

Arbiters Of Hexis in warframe

Warframe is best played with a group, in order to maximize effectiveness while still being able to acquire all of the available loot on a dungeon. However, if a player's only option is to run through dungeons solo, the 1-7-7 amp combination is their best choice for securing a high Damage-Per-Second (DPS) output.

RELATED: Warframe: Ways To Earn Platinum, Ranked

To form this amp, players must use the Raplak Prism, Propa Scaffold, and Certus Brace. Since playing solo can often be harder, especially on the more dangerous dungeons, players should use weapons with high damage output such as Warframe's best shotguns.

4 777: For Clearing Bosses Quickly

Perrin Sequence in warframe

The 7-7-7 amp combination is a solid one that tends to survive the wrath of any meta changes, being a viable choice throughout all of the changes to Warframe. To form this attachment, players should combine the Klamora Prism, Propa Scaffold, and Certus Bridge.

This amp combination is an easy start but can be ineffective against bosses with lots of limbs and damage points due to its short and narrow range. Pair this amp combination with a strong Warframe sniper rifle for the best results.

3 737: A Solid Choice For Rolling Through General Missions

Warframe Instead of Destiny

A lot of the Amps on this list focus on a specific type of farming or enemy but there are a lot of missions in Warframe that are pretty general. Players will want to get their hands on an Amp-type that allows them to effortlessly flow through basic missions without much thought or preparation. The 7-3-7 Amp setup is good for this type of general play thanks to its combination of the Klamora Prism, the Klebrik Scaffold, and the Certus Brace.

The Certus Brace will help improve critical chance (by 20 percent), which will pair well with the auto-aiming beam of the Klebrik Scaffold and the wide beam from the Klamora Prism, which also comes equipped with a high critical chance.

2 774: For The (Almost) Best DPS

new loka in warframe

The 7-7-4 is one of the better amp combinations for giving Warframes high Damage-Per-Second (DPS) output. To form this amp, players must use the Klamora Prism, Propa Scaffold, and the Anspatha Brace.

This gives the user a short-ranged Void beam, a timed explosive to add to their arsenal, and +20 AMP Energy Pool with +15/s Energy Recharge Rate; allowing players to stay in their fight and make the most out of their amp. This is one of the best amp combinations out there, allowing players to succeed with any of the Tenet weapons on Warframe.

1 775: For The Best DPS

red veil in warframe

If players want to focus on the Damage-per-Second (DPS) output of their Warframe, then the 7-7-5 amp combination is the perfect choice. To form this amp, players should use the Klamora Prism, Propa Scaffold, and the Suo Brace.

This gives the player a +100 AMP energy pool and +2 Amp Recharge Delay. It turns the Void beam into a short-range attack and the Scaffold gives the player a timed explosive in their arsenal. This amp combination is the best choice, making the best Warframes even stronger.

Warframe is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
