The online tactical first-person shooter Warface: Breakout, developed by Russian developer MY.GAMES, has launched today for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Set within the Warface franchise that first appeared in 2013, Warface: Breakout is a standalone spin-off that expands upon the original game with a heavy focus on Counter-Strike inspired multiplayer battles, resource management, and gunplay-focused combat.

Gameplay consists of classic “search and destroy” style matches in which two opposing five-person teams must either plant or defuse a bomb. Players can earn credits by taking out opponents and completing mission objectives, and these credits can then be used to purchase new weapons and equipment at the beginning of each round.

Already available on PC and Nintendo Switch, the console versions of Warface: Breakout feature enhanced controls optimized for gamepads and controllers. The game will launch with five different maps, over 30 weapons, and a range of customization options. More maps will be added post-launch, as well as seasonal content updates featuring new challenges and time-limited cosmetic rewards.

Unlike Warface, which is free-to-play, the standard edition of Warface: Breakout can be purchased digitally for $19.99, and for $29.99 players can grab the deluxe edition that includes exclusive cosmetic items like skins, player badges, and avatars. MY.GAMES has emphasized that in-game purchases will be cosmetic only and offer no gameplay advantages for players.

Warface: Breakout is currently available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
