A Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? video game adaptation is going to be released soon, but this isn't just any typical television show adaption. It seems that developer Appeal Studios is giving Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? an overhaul to make it better appeal to the core gaming audience. Specifically, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is getting a Battle Royale mode that will let players compete against up to 99 players.

Details regarding the Battle Royale mode in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? are unfortunately scant, however. It's listed as an online multiplayer mode with up to 99 players, where players try and reach the top position. No screenshots for the mode were provided either, though on paper, it sounds like a lot of fun, reminiscent of Xbox's 1 vs. 100 trivia game, perhaps. Without more information, however, it's probably safe to assume there are some inherent limitations.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will feature several other modes in addition to Battle Royale, though. There's a base solo mode with normal difficulty, as well as a kids mode with easier questions. There are also other multiplayer modes that can be played both online and offline. Free-for-All is a 4-player competitive mode, Taking Turns allows for 10 players to answer questions in turns, and Cooperative mode let 4 players answer questions together.
