With PS5 availability continuing to be much lower than would-be users would like, it tends to be big news whenever a store does a restock. One of the most recent PS5 restocks came by way of Walmart earlier this month, but it appears that the retail chain is having some issues fulfilling all of the orders placed on June 2.

When Walmart announced it was going to have a PS5 restock, it was reasonably big news because the only way someone could place an order was if they were registered for the Walmart+ subscription service that costs $12 a month. It seemed to many that putting the orders behind a paywall would make it a bit easier to lay hands on a PlayStation 5, but some users are now reporting issues with their orders.

Over on the PS5 Restock subreddit, several users are asking questions about their orders and reporting that they aren't getting many answers. In a recent Shipping Posts/Updates megathread, the vast majority of posters expressed confusion over orders that appeared to be delayed with no new date or explanation. Other users reported that their orders still only said "placed" and hadn't changed to "preparing" or "shipped" since the day the orders were made.

One Redditor pointed out that it seemed as though many people were waiting for the PS5 restock order and asked if anyone had actually received their purchased console yet. So far, there hasn't been a response in the affirmative, with several posters saying the most information they've received is their order status being changed to "delayed."

That some Walmart users report issues with their PS5 orders isn't surprising, considering that PlayStation supply issues are expected to last into 2024. However, the lack of response or clarity from Walmart has several Redditors confused and frustrated and simply looking for information on when they can expect their console shipment or whether they should expect it all at this point.

While all of the users who are reporting delays or posting about confusion on when they can get their consoles appear to be from the June 2 restock, the dates for when they were supposed to arrive vary. Some users were supposed to get their PS5 on June 10, while others expect it sometime this week. Still, other users are already hoping for another retailer to stage a PlayStation 5 restock in the the next few weeks or months.
