Walmart releases this year’s Black Friday ad, revealing a multitude of gaming deals that will give gamers the opportunity to get consoles and games at discounted prices.
Each year, retailers all over the United States celebrate Black Friday, the biggest shopping day in the country, by offering products at extreme discounts. This includes the latest gaming consoles and titles, making Black Friday a day for the budget-minded gamers to pay attention to. The world’s largest company, Walmart, usually has pretty great gaming deals especially, and with their 2015 Black Friday ad now revealed, it looks like this year won’t be any different.
First off, all the major gaming systems are available at significant discounts at Walmart during Black Friday this year. For example, players can snag the PlayStation 4 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle for a mere $299, or the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Xbox One bundle (with a bonus $30 gift card) at the same price.
Nintendo fans that are looking to upgrade to the Nintendo 3DS XL or the Wii U will also have options come Black Friday. For $249, a Wii U bundle that comes with Super Smash Bros. as well as the surprise hit Splatoon is available, and for $129, consumers can pick up a Nintendo 3DS XL that comes bundled with the critically-acclaimed platformer Super Mario 3D Land.
Besides console deals, Black Friday at Walmart this year will have some hefty discounts for some of this year’s biggest games. This includes Battlefield Hardline, Evolve, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and Rare Replay for $15 apiece, as well as some of 2015’s other hits for a bit more cash.
In the $25 range, players can purchase Batman: Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Mad Max, Splatoon, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (read our Witcher 3 review to see why this is such a great deal), and more. For $35, popular games like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Destiny: The Taken King, Forza Motorsport 6, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, NHL 16, and Until Dawn are available.
Additionally, those that need new controllers or are looking to renew their subscriptions to Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus have a chance to do so at a discounted price. Both the DualShock 4 and the Xbox One controller will be on sale for $39.99, whereas 3-month subscriptions to Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus will be available for $12.50 and $10 respectively.
There are many other video games and accessories that will be available at special prices at Walmart on Black Friday, but the aforementioned deals are the highlights. Anyone that is thinking of taking advantage of any of these deals should be aware that Walmart’s Black Friday shopping will begin at 6pm on Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day) in-stores, with online shopping beginning at 12:01am earlier that morning.
