Ready or not, the end of the year is almost here. As many prepare for the holiday season, numerous retailers are revealing their plans for Black Friday deals. While past Black Friday events often took place in-store and only lasted one day, things have started to shift to a month-long format. One retailer adopting this new business practice is Walmart.

As the end of October draws closer, Walmart recently announced its plans for Black Friday. According to the retailer, shoppers can find deals over the weeks leading up to November 26. In addition, customers won’t have to wait long as the official start of the company’s Black Friday discounts start on November 3. Over the remainder of the month, sales on numerous products, such as popular video games and TVs, are expected to go live.

Kicking off the savings, Walmart announced a promotion called “Deals for Days.” The retailer has broken this event into 2 parts. Beginning online at 7 pm on November 3, customers can take part in part 1 of this savings event. This first sale ends on November 7 and is followed by a small break. However, the action picks up again online at 7 pm on November 10, when part two of the sale goes live. Shoppers can continue to grab deals during the “Deals for Days” sale through November 14. In addition to picking up deals on the internet, customers can go to their local stores starting at 5 am on November 5 for part 1 and at 5 am on November 12 for part two.

In addition to announcing this early Black Friday sale, Walmart released an ad detailing some of the discounts. Some of the highlights of part one of the savings event include a Samsung Chromebook 4 marked down to $87 and a 55” TCL 4K smart TV on sale for $228. Part two also features some impressive deals, such as a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 for $139, along with an HP Intel Core i3 laptop available for $279. Beyond these deals, numerous other items are on sale during the two-part event as well.

For those wanting to catch some of these discounts even sooner, Walmart will allow Walmart+ members to access these prices 4 hours early. While it is a paid subscription, those interested can sign up for a free 15-day trial.

While many people might enjoy this new extended format for Black Friday shopping, one of the reasons for this expanded savings period is supply chain issues. Many technology products such as the Xbox Series X and PS5 have become hard to find due to high demand. Many other retailers, such as Best Buy, are extending sales to try and lessen the strain on suppliers.
