It wasn't that long ago when Telltale Games was forced to close its doors, leading to most of its staff being let go and all of its projects, including the final season of its The Walking Dead series, being canceled. It was a sad day for a lot of people, but there was some light at the end of the tunnel, courtesy of Skybound Games.

A division of Skybound Entertainment (the company behind the entire Walking Dead franchise), Skybound Games swooped in to revive the popular series so as to bring a proper conclusion to Clementine's story. While good news, this still left fans with a lot of unanswered questions, so Skybound will address said questions in a Reddit AMA, hosted by Skybound CEO Ian Howe, at 2pm PST later today.

There are naturally a number of questions that will take immediate priority for fans, such as when the next episode will be out, if the series will still continue afterwards without Clementine, or when (and perhaps if) the first two episodes will be made available to download again, following their abrupt removal from all digital distribution services. The AMA won't be entirely dedicated to the Walking Dead games, though, and people can ask questions about Skybound Games, too.

However, there is always a chance Skybound could be faced with some rather difficult questions concerning the controversy surrounding Telltale's shutting down. While many were excited when it was confirmed The Final Season would continue, many others (including fans of the games) expressed disdain regarding Telltale's mismanagement that led to many of the original developers being let go without any severance pay. Telltale themselves still face a class action lawsuit filed by a former employee.

It's important to remember that Skybound themselves had nothing to do with Telltale shutting down or its employees not being paid properly. In fact, Skybound have some former Telltale developers on-board to help finish The Final Season. While this doesn't fix the entire situation or make up for what happened at Telltale, it feels like Skybound is aware of the controversy and is trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season is currently still unavailable to download.
