Telltale's The Walking Dead is the developer's most iconic and arguably best project of all time, which makes it no surprise that the team is re-releasing the original games in one epic collection. The Walking Dead Collection will contain all three seasons of the currently-released Walking Dead experience, as well as the spin-off 400 Days, and the three-part Michonne miniseries that follows the adventures of the popular character.

The Walking Dead Collection is perfect for zombie fans who are interested in getting hold of the upcoming Walking Dead game but have yet to play some or all of the original three Telltale series. The developer has also made sure that the collection will be worth a purchase for those who have played through the story before, as each game has seen a significant visual overhaul, making the decision-based titles look cleaner and crisper than ever.

The release of this new collection comes as an excellent primer for Season Four, which will be the conclusion of the long-running series. As with Seasons One and Two, the story will focus around Clementine, a move that is sure to make fans happy after The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's focus shifted the young girl to a side character role.

Telltale has also announced that the next season will be partially penned by Garry Whitta, of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Book of Eli fame. This isn't the first time that Whitta has joined the development team, and the writer was also responsible for parts of the critically-acclaimed first season of Telltale's The Walking Dead.

For those new to the long-running Telltale series, The Walking Dead game is set in the same universe as the comic book, though it stars an entirely new set of characters with which players can interact. Decisions made by the player will influence the story, and several tough choices can have a real impact on whether certain characters live or die as the game progresses.

The series has attracted a lot of attention since it first released back in 2012, and Season Four's release sometime next year will be the end of an epic adventure for zombie fans all over the world. Thankfully, there's soon to be a way to relive the experience one last time before the release of the upcoming season.

Telltale's The Walking Dead Collection is out December 5 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
