Fans of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead have been following Clementine for six years, but now her harrowing journey is due to come to an end. The upcoming season of The Walking Dead will wrap up the storyline in its entirety, leaving fans speculative that Clementine may not be alive by the time the credits roll.

Today, Telltale Games revealed that the world's first look at The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be provided at PAX East on Friday, April 6, 2018. Gamers attending the convention can attend the first look at the Albatross Theatre at 12:30PM, where a one-hour block of time has been allocated to the trailer and presumable discussion.

Fans can then head to a Walking Dead cosplay meetup that will be streamed online, where Clementine voice actress Melissa Hutchison will be available for autographs. Hutchison has worked with Telltale Games on several occasions, been cast in other series like The Wolf Among Us, Minecraft: Story Mode, and Back To The Future - though none of those roles were as integral as Clementine was to The Walking Dead.

Here's the schedule in its entirety below:

The Walking Dead The Final Season Event

It's unclear if The Final Season is still a working title for the season up until next Friday's trailer, as Telltale Games has left most of the details firmly under wraps. Aside from the fact that Clementine is taking the primary role once again, little else about Telltale's final venture within Robert Kirkman's world has been released.

The studio has confirmed that Gary Whitta, who helped write parts of the heart wrenching first season (but not the second), has returned to the production team. He stated that developing Clementine's story from the beginning has been one of the highlights of his career in the writing industry, making it quite fitting that he returns to put the finishing touches on Clementine's closing story arc (for better or worse).

Telltale Games had stated it was going to focus on producing fewer games after it laid off 25% of its entire workforce half a year ago, an act which came a few months after the studio had confirmed this would be the final season for The Walking Dead. It's not clear if the closure of the series was made with the layoffs in mind, but in any event, gamers who have known Clementine for 6 years now will be eagerly waiting to see what unfolds for her in the year to come.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season currently has no release date, but is expected to release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
