The MCU just gained another spinoff and the successful Disney Plus series WandaVision has yet another story to unfold. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision in the developing Vision Quest series from Marvel Studios.

Fans last saw Bettany's Vision in the finale of WandaVision, where the deceased character was reactivated as "White Vision" and sent on a mission to destroy Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and the Vision she created as part of her transformation of Westview through chaos magic. Marvel fans are still waiting on WandaVision's first spinoff, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which is set to release in late 2023, but Marvel Studios appears to be getting the ball rolling on another continuation of the story.

A source for Deadline says the new series is about to open its writers' room next week, and luckily there is some insight into the plot line. This time the story will focus on Bettany's Vision, more specifically, his life after he was recreated. As of right now, Vision's only confirmed obstacle seems to be remembering all that has happened before he was rebuilt. Vision Quest will be overseen by WandaVision creator, writer and executive producer Jac Schaffer. Giant Freakin Robot was the first to report on a Vision series being developed.

Vision and Wanda in WandaVision

While things are still in hush mode, there is a possibility for other MCU characters to make their appearance, including the more obvious one, Olsen's Wanda Maximoff. After all, Vision and Wanda captured the hearts of fans only to have the most tragic ending to their love story. Maybe even the fan-loved SHEILD trio of Darcy Lewis, Jimmy Woo, and Monica Rambeau could return. The possibilities in the MCU are endless.

It's no doubt that Bettany will give an outstanding performance as Vision, just as he did in WandaVision. After all, the actor was nominated for the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology or Movie. However, it seems like the streaming giant has a lot of promised content set to come out and an expectation of a cinematic experience. So will Vision Quest be a notable series or will it just become a void to fill, a reason for the crew to get back together to make another spinoff? Time will tell, but for now, fans can rejoice that the beloved Vision will be back to take on another MCU journey.
