The first Fast X trailer is around the corner, but that won’t stop franchise star Vin Diesel from sharing images of his on-screen sweetheart Michelle Rodriguez, who will be back as Letty in this year's Fast and Furious entry.

The penultimate Fast and Furious film is set to be the biggest and most daunting mission yet for Dom and Letty as the movie’s cast welcomes the addition of Brie Larson and Jason Momoa to a pretty stacked roster. While Diesel's latest Fast X updates have been all about family, with a recent one focusing on Jordana Brewster returning to play Toretto's sister, the movie’s February 10 trailer will probably feature plenty of action.

Diesel posted the latest photo on his Instagram account. The photo includes a touching message showing appreciation for his co-star and close friend. One thing to keep an eye out for is that Rodriguez is no longer sporting the short hair look she donned in F9. Letty is also caught in a wholesome environment, so at least the Toretto family will enjoy some downtime before things go haywire in Fast X.

It bears saying that Rodriguez is one of the Fast and Furious franchise’s faces. She's appeared in 7 movies total, only surpassed by Diesel's 8 due to her not showing up on 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift. After all, Letty has the distinction of coming back from the dead in Fast Five, a feat that Gal Gadot's Gisele Yashar could be on the verge of repeating if rumors around Fast X are to be believed.

Fast X will feature the gang of usual suspects such as Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sun Kang, Statham, Helen Mirren, and John Cena, who will join Dom and Letty to fight off Cipher and Dante, played by Charlize Theron and Momoa. How the film will set up this new extravagant run of action sequences is still unknown, though it’s safe to say the Fast X trailer and the subsequent Super Bowl Sunday preview will answer that question.

In 2021, F9 was one of the blockbusters that helped drive people back to movie theaters, and judging from Fast X's massive $340m budget, movie number 10 is looking to do the same. With the precedent set by Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water, Fast X's prospects are certainly looking good.

Fast X is scheduled for release on May 19, 2023.
