The Pokemon fandom is absolutely massive, which is unsurprising given that it's the highest-grossing video game franchise of all time. This popularity enables all manner of crossovers and cross-promotional opportunities. Just as an example, Pokemon recently announced its return to McDonald's Happy Meals. Where an official crossover may not have happened, Pokemon fans are more than happy to create something on their own. A recently shared TikTok video did just that, bringing Pokemon to the world of The Simpsons.

The TikTok video was made by artist Moo, who shares videos of her creations with a fun theme on her channel moolusk_. The video in question is titled with the caption "If the simpsons characters had pokemon, this is what i imagine." The video then shares multiple pieces of fan art in which Moolusk has drawn a character from The Simpsons with one or several Pokemon that they think would make up their team if they were a trainer.

Moolusk's first pairing is a surprising choice, but too perfect a combination not to do. It's Pedro Chespirito, better known as Bumblebee Man, best known for his slapstick humor on The Simpsons Spanish-language Channel Ocho. Bumblebee Man is paired with none other than Vespiqueen, the evolution of a female Combee. Moolusk has drawn hearts behind the pairing, implying a forbidden love, perhaps, perfect for Bumblebee Man's soap operas.

Pick number two for Moolusk's Simpsons/Pokemon pairings is for Maggie Simpson. Fittingly, Maggie has a trio of small Pokemon to call her friends. The first is Togepi, the egg Pokemon. Second is the Psychic-type baby Pokemon Wynaut. The third is the kissing baby Pokemon Smoochum. With Smoochum in mind, there's also a pairing for the Smoochum evolution Jynx. Jynx has been paired with Edna Krabappel, who is checking her lipstick in a compact mirror.

Other pairings shown in the video include Flanders with Probopass, almost certainly due to their respective bushy mustaches, and then a partner for Milhouse. Milhouse is, appropriately, being glommed by a Grimer. The Grimer is very excited about the situation. Milhouse, on the other hand, may not be cut out for Pokemon training.

There are plenty of other The Simpsons characters who Moolusk didn't do fan art for, allowing for fans to make up their own pairings. The idea of matching The Simpsons characters with Pokemon is a lot of fun, but it's really Moolusk's art that makes this something special. She clearly is a fan of both and her charming art elevates the video into something special.
