Subscription game services are becoming more abundant because of their ease of access and incredible deals. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars for video games in a year, you can purchase one subscription service, receive more games, and pay significantly less.
One of the latest companies to jump on the bandwagon is Apple with Apple Arcade. Apple Arcade games differ from the regular App Store because it contains a variety of premium games, which often have controller support. Apple Arcade is getting traction, but it needs more games to be taken seriously. These are 10 games we hope to come to Apple Arcade.
10 Minecraft Dungeons
Although Minecraft Dungeons hasn't been released yet, signs are pointing to us liking Minecraft Dungeons. It's a game that takes after both Minecraft and Diablo. The themes of Minecraft Dungeons are intriguing, to say the least. It's a game that is played with a controller, so it would fit well with Apple Arcade.
The regular App Store may never get Minecraft Dungeons, but it would fit well within the premium content of Apple Arcade. The game will, however, be available for macOS.
9 Stardew Valley
Apple Arcade's triple-A titles are mostly limited to games that were created for the service. They need to bring top-grade games like Stardew Valley for people to start taking the service seriously. In comparison to other game services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now, Apple Arcade is lackluster.
Stardew Valley is a game that supports controllers. A wide variety of Apple Arcade games use controllers, which is another reason why Stardew Valley should be part of Apple Arcade.
8 Rush Rally 4
This wouldn't be the first time the Rush Rally series appeared on the App Store. Rush Rally 4 would be a dynamite sequel to surface on Apple Arcade. It's a game that supports a controller, and it has breathtaking graphics for an app. Some of the most recent Need For Speed titles would also be good options.
However, Rush Rally's gameplay has proven itself to be as good as the Need For Speed series. The realism is unlike most other games on the App Store. A sequel to Rush Rally 3 would fit well with Apple Arcade.
7 NBA 2K20
Even if the reviews for NBA 2K20 weren't as strong as some of the other additions to the franchise, it's still one of the best examples of a basketball game. Some might wonder why NBA 2K20 is on this list.
It's already a mainstream name on the App Store. NBA 2K20 should be added to Apple Arcade in a way that is similar to Xbox Game Pass. Not only should players get access to Apple Arcade exclusives but also a select list of pay-to-play App Store games.
6 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
The widely popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is on mobile devices in the form of PUBG Mobile. The mobile version has some slight changes when compared to the original game. For example, it appears to be a smaller game with a downgrade in visuals.
Despite its inferior performance, PUBG Mobile is a mega success on mobile devices, including iPhones. Apple Arcade could help distinguish itself from Android by adding a full version of PUBG Mobile to Apple Arcade. The game would play beautifully on the most recent iPhone, Apple TV, and macOS.
5 Super Mario World
We've seen hit classics like Sonic the Hedgehog 2 get re-released for mobile devices such as Android and Apple. Since Apple Arcade has Sonic Racing, it is evident they aren't focusing on third-party games. Although there is plenty of demand for it, Nintendo games like Super Mario World are missing on mobile devices. Relatively speaking, Nintendo hasn't been in the mobile game as long as other game developers.
With focus shifting to games like Mario Kart Tour and Super Mario Run, Nintendo shouldn't forget their classics. Nintendo games would be an excellent way for Apple to put its subscription service on the map.
4 Aladdin and The Lion King Remastered
Coming to PC and video game consoles this fall is Aladdin and The Lion King remastered. Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy versions will be released as part of this remastered collection. These were two of the most prominent games in the early '90s. Disney games were still good during this era.
If this remastered collection was brought to Apple Arcade, people would go crazy for the service. Since Apple Arcade supports PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S controllers, these two games would fit well.
3 Resident Evil 2 Remake
Resident Evil 4 is one of the most ported games in the history of video games. Resident Evil 2 remake is the latest addition to the Resident Evil franchise, and people are going wild over how awesome it is.
If Capcom could port Resident Evil 4 to just about every major console, including iOS and Zeebo, they must be able to port Resident Evil 2. A downgrade of graphics might be necessary, but taking into account the quality of Apple Arcade games, they may be able to port the original copy.
2 Risk Remake
Risk on the App Store is subpar when compared to the original Hasbro board game. A premium version of Risk should be remade for Apple Arcade. There is plenty of potential for board games on Apple Arcade. They should add The Settlers of Catan, Clue, Scrabble, and other popular board games.
The version of Risk in the above photo doesn't do the game justice. The atmosphere of the game is incomparable to the board game version. It goes without saying that Risk should be a part of Apple Arcade.
1 Monopoly
Monopoly is all the craze with plenty of people wanting to play Monopoly video games. This highly acclaimed title deserves to be on Apple Arcade. Apple Arcade is a premium game service that should contain a premium version of Monopoly.
It should also have online support, so people can play with friends across the globe. There is so much possibility for Apple Arcade that Apple hasn't yet tapped into.
