At long last the much anticipated sequel to the 2018 film Venom is coming to theaters. Fans will get to see just how Eddie Brock and the Symbiote's relationship has evolved over the past few years. More importantly, Marvel Comics fans will finally get to see Carnage on the big screen.

An epic battle between Venom and Carnage is sure to take place as these two adversaries duke it out in order to decide which symbiote is superior. Also, with direction by Andy Serkis the film is sure to have an even more bombastic feel to it than its predecessor. If the newly released trailer is any indication, Eddie Brock and the Symbiote are in for the fight of their lives.

5 Shriek

The self proclaimed "wife" of Carnage, Frances Louise Barrison is the deranged and dangerous Shriek. Coming from a rough background filled with abuse and drug use, Frances had to grow up tough. After a few dangerous encounters with the police and a Marvel hero or two she ended up at the Ravencroft Institute.

Here she met Cletus Kasady as he was escaping and they decided that two maniacs on the loose if more fun than one. Due to her psychic powers she was able to incite mass riots and chaos throughout New York City. The trailer shows that she has some kind of special ability and is probably locked up in Ravencroft with Kasady at the start of the film. Once she does team up with Carnage, all hell will break loose. Shriek and Carnage together make for a very unstable and violent team.

4 Venom's Intelligence

Symbiote Smiling Venom 2

Eddie Brock seems to have learned that when the Symbiote is doing something it is best to stay out of its way. The humorous breakfast making scene in the trailer is proof of something fans have known for quite some now. The Symbiote is incredibly intelligent and it grows more so day by day. Venom has proven to be so cunning at times that he has outsmarted even Spider-Man on more than one occasion. Also, even though it is played for laughs, the Symbiote seems to be fluent in another language fairly quickly. The film will surely take a closer look at just how much mental growth the Symbiote has had since its first outing. Since it has to go up against the Carnage symbiote, it will need all the cunning it can muster.

3 Ravencroft Institute

Ravencroft Institute Venom 2

If there is any place in the Marvel Universe that is like Arkham Asylum it is the Ravencroft Institute. Also known as the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, this hell hole is home to only the most deranged of Marvel villains. The very origins of Ravencroft date back to its being cursed in the 15th century due to its land being claimed by a cannibalistic cult.

From then on the place has seen nothing but terror, madness, pain, and misery. There is a good chance that Carnage and Shriek will free all the inmates as they escape so even more insane people will be on the streets. The pervasive evil that fills the halls of Ravencroft is sure to belt felt through Carnage as he spreads his madness across San Francisco.

2 The Daily Bugle

Mulligan Reading The Daily Bugle

As with the first film, there seems to be numerous little Easter eggs that point towards Spider-Man and the larger Marvel Universe as a whole. One small one that stands out is when there is a hand, which probably belongs to Kasady, crushing a spider. The bigger and more blatant one is when Detective Mulligan is reading a Daily Bugle newspaper with Kasady's face on it.

Time will only tell if the Daily Bugle will play an important role in this or future films but it does open the door to a Spider-Man appearance one day. Also Kasady may have spent time in New York or at least crossed paths with law enforcement there. While there are sure to be even more awesome Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the film, the Daily Bugle one could lead to big things.

1 Maximum Carnage

Carnage Howling Venom 2

Carnage is arguably one of the most deranged and dangerous Spider-Man villains of all time. Even prior to getting his hands on a symbiote, Kasady was an unrepentant killer and sadist. One of his first outings with the Carnage Symbiote was the "Maximum Carnage" event in the comics. This event featured him and Shriek causing so much death and destruction in New York City that a number of heroes, anti-heroes, and even villains had to help out Spider-Man. Carnage at full power is a massive threat that not too many heroes can handle alone. Judging by the trailer, Carnage will be at full power in the film and that does not bode well for Eddie Brock and his Symbiote. Add in the danger of Shriek and Venom: Let There Be Carnage is going to be a non-stop wild ride.
