Venom 2 brought the murderous villain Carnage to the big screen as fans watched the two popular Spider-Man villains face off. Now, newly released Venom: Let There Be Carnage concept art offers fans a glimpse at how the scarlet symbiote was conceived just as the sequel continues to climb at the box office.

Sony's Spider-Man Universe film has the potential to keep climbing and if Venom 2 makes even half of what the first movie made, then fans shouldn't be surprised if there is a third installment. The Venom movies have done well at establishing a world outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but fans are eager to see Eddie Brock/Venom fight with Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

As Deadline notes, Venom: Let There Be Carnage has made $205.4 million overseas as of Sunday, giving it a worldwide box office total of $395.8 million. For comparison, the first movie made $856.1 million, but that was during a time where there wasn't a pandemic and a lack of viewers going out to the theaters. Still, the box office prospects for Venom: Let There Be Carnage are bright should it continue on this path. Amid the financial news, concept artist Brandon Gobey offered a look at the artwork for Carnage. Fans can see the scarlet symbiote in his final battle with Venom as well as his introductory scene at the prison. The frames really capture the dread and fear that comes from standing in the same room as the parasitic serial killer, and the glare effects from the lights are also really cool to look at.

Carnage was a nice addition to the film series, but right now it's hard to see where they should go from here. Venom 2 teased the introduction of a new villain that may make an appearance in the future, but the only thing that will keep the momentum going for the fans after Carnage is the web-slinger himself. Fans are campaigning for Sony and Disney to be able to work out something in the future so they can see the Sony characters make their way into the MCU world Disney has established.

The Venom 2 post-credits scene is what fans were really excited to see. Without spoiling, it promised something big to come in the future and fans have been speculating since. If it happens sooner than later, then fans may be in for a treat later this year, otherwise, they'll have to wait a tiny bit longer for the big showdown.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is now playing in theaters.
