A  trailer for Vampyr, the upcoming horror RPG, released last month that focused mostly on the game's story. Now, thanks to a new trailer, we get to see a bit more about what powers players can use when facing off against enemies in the game.

Like the last trailer for Vampyr, a brooding voice seems to be talking to the game's main character Jonathan Reid. The voice this time is male and seems to be explaining to Dr. Reid what his new status as a vampire will entail while also urging him to embrace his new dark side. The voice describes the thirst for blood and how mortals are now prey and will always view him as the enemy. It then shows off some combat encounters from the game.

While some combat was shown off at E3 2017, the new trailer shows off some more of the supernatural powers players will have at their disposal when fighting enemies within the game. Of course, Jonathan can grab enemies and pull them close in an attempt to drink their blood, but that's not all. Being a vampire gives him access to a multitude of other powers, some of which are shown.

Players will be able to dash around enemies, almost seeming to teleport from spot to spot. This can be used to either close the distance or evade. There was even a brief glimpse of what seems to be a special attack where Dr. Reid moves from enemy to enemy at blinding speed, hitting each with a flurry of blows before they collapse.

There also appears to be an attack that stuns enemies, which was used to great effect to daze an enemy and then close in for a follow-up attack that launched them into the air. A set of what look like ethereal claws was also shown being used to eviscerate foes, while a ranged attack hit multiple foes, staggering them all with some sort of dark tendrils.

These brutal moves were all used to great effect on the enemies shown off in the trailer. The foes ranged from normal-sized humans to more brute-sized ones. There was even a fight with a werewolf, which means other supernatural entities may be in the game.

Vampyr had its release date confirmed a few months ago and players can get their hands on it in June.

Vampyr will release on June 5th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
