Investigating the Crime Scene

When Galeb arrives at Jason Moore's apartment, it is in the midst of a police search. Seemingly, Moore was decapitated in the lobby of his own home shortly after the disastrous party that kicked off the main plot. Observant players will note that he must have been at the party as it was one of his bodyguards who sent the code red. There are also signs of a ghoul in the area.

Investigating the ghoul's presence and heading upstairs to the hallway with all the bookshelves will result in players stumbling across a catalog from a home security company, indicating that Moore may have been doing some shopping.

Further exploration around the kitchen and dining area will reveal Lydia's Planner, which contains a cryptic message crucial to locating the secret room: "In case of emergency call: PURA VIDA."

This message initially seems to indicate that Lydia is the emergency contact, residing at their second home (which is called PURA VIDA) but it actually holds a second meaning.

Investigate June's room to discover a substitution cipher on her desk that she uses to communicate with her friend. Running PURA VIDA through the cipher (using a little guesswork and/or deduction to work out that ABC = 2) will reveal the code 78728432.

Jason Moore's Secret Panic Room

Finally, follow the drops of blood on the floor outside into Jason's bedroom and then into his bathroom, where he has a smart mirror. The phone app on the mirror allows Galeb to "call PURA VIDA" using the code 78728432, which opens the door to Jason Moore's secret panic room.
