Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a cult classic, considered by some to be a "masterpiece" for its narrative and incredible amount of player choice. Fans have continued to support the game with mods and unofficial updates, but a full-blown sequel has been unlikely due to the original's poor sales. However, a new "dating app" appears to be teasing a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 15 years after the first game's launch.

A dating app called Tender was launched a couple of weeks ago, with the gimmick of asking some rather bizarre questions to match people. For example, instead of asking people their hobbies like Tinder would, the Tender app is more concerned with one's blood type. Its obsession with blood is one reason why people think that this weird dating app is teasing a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, but there is even more convincing evidence available.

It's been discovered that Tender app users can actually sign in to the app using their Paradox Interactive account. Paradox Interactive is the company that purchased White Wolf Publishing in 2015, and White Wolf is the creator of Vampire: The Masquerade. But the rabbit hole goes even deeper.

By digging around in the app, users have found reference to some kind of party in San Francisco that will take place on March 21. Apparently 300 Tender app users will be invited to the party, which just so happens to coincide with the date and location for this year's Game Developers Conference.

Further teases have been discovered on Twitch, including a video showing the Santa Monica pier, which is one of the major locations from the first game. When considering all of the evidence available so far, it would be surprising if the Tender app is teasing anything other than a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

We named Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines as one of the best vampire games ever made. The degree of player choice at play is truly remarkable, and seems to have had a direct impact on later adventure games and RPGs, like Vampyr from Dontnod. It would be great to see what a sequel could do with today's hardware, and so here's hoping that a sequel truly is in development.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is out now for PC.
