Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt features an assortment of playable archetypes inspired by the tabletop game and other Vampire: The Masquerade media. Of these, the Toreador Siren is a vain beauty that turns their charms to the battlefield with ease. This archetype features a mix of movement, misdirection, and the ability to become a living flashbang, allowing it to fill several different roles in gameplay.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt is a battle royale by Sharkmob set in the World of Darkness. Amid a Bloodhunt, the streets of Prague run red as the blood of Kindred and Kine alike is spilled in a bloody battle for survival and dominance. As Kindred, players do battle in the streets and on the rooftops in an effort to survive the night and carry out the bloodhunt. At the same time, NPC hunters of the Second Inquisition serve as deadly obstacles and potential sources of weaponry and blood.

Powers

The Toreador Clan in Vampire the Masquerade specializes in the vampiric disciplines of Auspex, Celerity, and Presence. The Toreador Siren mainly focuses on Presence (the vampiric art of supernatural charm and drawing attention).

The Toreador Siren has a mix of abilities designed to aid them in gearing up in the early game, navigating Prague, and disrupting their foes in combat.

Firstly, they have the Passive Power "Kindred Charm." This causes civilians in their vicinity to act friendly towards them and their team. This means they will ignore the team feeding on other nearby civilians and makes it easier to nab resonances without the civilians panicking (which leads to players being revealed on the map for breaking the Masquerade.)

Civilians under the influence of this power have a sparkling pink aura around their head and shoulders.

The Siren has the Archetype Power "Blinding Beauty," allowing them to erupt in brilliant light and blind nearby foes with their radiance. This allows the siren to function as a living flashbang, stunning and disrupting their enemies. This is useful for disrupting close-range combatants, misdirecting enemies to land some free hits, or escaping from disadvantageous situations.

Finally, the Siren has access to the Toreador Clan Power "Projection Dash." This allows the player to send out a projection of themselves in the direction they are aiming. This projection can then be teleported to by pressing the button a second time while the projection is there.

As the teleportation effect is optional and can be delayed slightly, this power can be used for scouting ahead a short distance, firing a projection behind the player before heading around a corner, and then teleporting if they encounter trouble (for example.)

This skill can also be used to confuse enemies by making it look like the Siren is going to move to a certain position by firing the projection that way but then moving in a different direction on foot while they are distracted, potentially allowing the projection to draw fire as they turn to aim at the destination.

Preferred Weapons

The Siren can make excellent use of nearly any weapon in the game, though the Assault Rifle suits their mixed bag of tricks the best due to its efficiency at any range. Shotguns and melee armaments like the Katana or Scourge Blades can be useful for closing the distance to make offensive use of Blinding Beauty. Sniper and Marksman rifles can be used with Projection Dash to avoid giving away the player's position.

The Siren has a number of useful powers for manipulating the battlefield and keeping their foes off balance, so making good use of Melancholic (purple) and Phlegmatic (teal) resonance is very effective.

Melancholic resonance reduces the cooldown rate of Clan Skills by 10%, then 25%, and finally 50% as the player acquires more of it, making Projection Dash more readily available. The same is true of Phlegmatic resonance and Archetype Skills, making Blinding Beauty usable with greater frequency.

Resonances are a feature carried over from Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition that grants bonuses based on the emotional state of a victim who gets their blood taken.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt is available on April 27, 2022, for Playstation 5 and PC.
