There are a number of playable characters in Vampire Survivors, and each one of them has its own unique starting weapon and passive ability. While the process for unlocking most of these characters is quite obvious, that is not the case with the game's secret character, Exdash Exiviiq. Fortunately, unlocking Vampire Survivors' secret character is actually a very simple endeavor, and this guide details exactly how players should approach the task.

Vampire Survivors: How to Unlock Secret Character

In order to unlock Exdash, players must simply run Vampire Survivors and type "x-x1viiq" with no quotes as soon as they hit the game's main menu. Indeed, speed is the key to unlocking the secret character in this cheap Steam game, and fans should make sure that they enter the code very quickly and without pressing any other inputs. If this is done correctly, players should find Exdash in the character select screen the next time that they visit it, and they can take them into battle from there.

Vampire Survivors: Exdash Stats

Exdash is certainly an interesting character in this reverse bullet hell game, with negative modifiers applied to Move Speed, Might, Area, Speed, and Duration. Additionally, the secret character has a positive modifier applied to their Cooldown, making them even more difficult to survive with. Exdash does have +100% Luck, though, and here is a full list of their base stats for players that are curious:

  • Max Health: 77
  • Move Speed: -10%
  • Might: -10%
  • Area: -10%
  • Speed: -50%
  • Duration: -10%
  • Cooldown: +10%
  • Luck: +100%

Quite clearly, Exdash's Luck modifier is their primary asset, as that stat can produce a number of positive effects. More specifically, Luck lowers the chance of "negative events," like bat swarms, occurring, while also improving the chances of getting high-quality chests and good items from destroying braziers. Additionally, the Luck stat makes it possible for indie game fans to get a fourth upgrade choice when leveling up, which can certainly be a boon.

Luck also increases the chances of scoring critical hits, though that is only possible to do with two weapons at the time of writing. Indeed, the Bloody Tear and the Heaven Sword are the game's only crit-capable weapons currently, and both of them are obtained through Vampire Survivors' weapon evolution mechanic. As such, it is recommended that players that want Exdash to be effective in combat focus on one of those two weapons rather than their starting weapon, the Ebony Wings.

Vampire Survivors is in early access on PC.
