Valorant has taken off since its beta release earlier this year. The futuristic first person shooter published by Riot Games has gained popularity, and many Twitch streamers have been playing it on their platforms. However, there is one complaint that players have about the game, and the problem lies in its skin system.

While Valorant may have gotten off to a rocky start after its full release, the development team has been working to combat these issues. Riot Games has cracked down on cheaters in the game and changed Valorant's ranking system, but many players have disliked the way that they have to interact with skins. Riot Games is listening to these complaints and will be updating the skin system with this feedback in mind.

In order to unlock all of the different skins in a purchased bundle, players have to spend Radianite Points to obtain them in a tier-based system. Players have to upgrade each weapon in order to unlock each Valorant skin variant, which can get costly for fans who want to get the cosmetic effects. As the weapon skins level up, their appearances change, but some players prefer the lower level cosmetics to the higher levels. However, the current skin system only allows players to change their cosmetics to those of higher levels, so they can't downgrade to more basic appearances that they may like better.

Riot Games is currently looking into changing this system by introducing an option to toggle between the different levels of cosmetic weapons. A Riot Games blog post details this idea and says it is the most logical approach to the complaints fans have been voicing about higher levels of skin customization. However, the company also said that implementing this system would take more time and engineers working on the project, which means that other Valorant gameplay needs are left by the wayside. Riot Games does not have a time that players can expect to see this in the game, but the developer has confirm that it sees the importance of this concept and want to invest in this mechanic in the future.

While Valorant players may be disappointed that this system will likely not be available for the near future, it is at least comforting to know that these changes are being considered. Even though skins are just cosmetic changes, players so pay good money for them and enjoy their presence in the game, so Riot Games should take these matters into account.
