A new cinematic was revealed during the recent Valorant Champions Tour Masters Reykjavik, and a code for a free exclusive Player Card was released along with it. This code will not always be functional, though, and players have just 48 hours to redeem it and claim their Duality Player Card. That means that there is indeed a bit of urgency to using the code, and this guide is here to walk Valorant fans through the process.

To note, there are issues that are preventing Valorant players from redeeming the Duality Player Card code at the time of writing. More specifically, the website where the code must be entered is not loading for everyone, and many fans are currently receiving a 503 and 504 errors when they attempt to access it. While this can prove to be slightly frustrating, considering the time-sensitive nature of claiming this special Player Card, there is a workaround that appears to be solving the problem for some players.

To try this workaround, fans should attempt to navigate to redeem.playvalorant.com, where they are likely to encounter an error. When that error appears, players should try to reload the site a few times, and then simply leave the page open in their browsers. After a certain amount of time, which seems to range from 10 minutes to several hours, the site should load, giving hero shooter fans the chance to redeem the Duality Player Card code.

With respect to the process that must be followed once the site is finally accessed, the first step is to sign in. Players will then be taken to a page that instructs them to enter a code, and they should input YTILAUD into the empty box that they encounter. Fans should then click "Submit," and the Valorant cosmetic should now appear on their accounts even if they encounter yet another error. For full clarity, here is a summary of the full process for redeeming a code:

  • Visit redeem.playvalorant.com
  • Login
  • Enter the following code: YTILAUD
  • Click "Submit"

One final thing to mention is that it is possible to redeem certain codes through the Valorant client, though that is not an option with the Duality Player Card code. Indeed, it seems that fans that want the cosmetic must go through the official website, and the increased traffic may be responsible for the issues that are being encountered. Hopefully, these issues will be resolved more officially soon, and perhaps developer Riot Games will even allow the code to be redeemed for longer than was initially indicated.

Valorant is available now on PC.
