The Valorant closed beta currently has ten Agents (characters) to choose from, with each of them being pretty unique from the others. They each fit into one of four classes: Duelist, Controller, Sentinel, and Initiator. Each character accomplishes their classes goals differently, meaning there's definitely a bit to learn when it comes to using each of them.

Jett is a duelist, and she is, without a doubt, the quickest character in the game. Let's take a look at some tips for getting the most out of playing as her:

10 UPDRAFT

One of Jett's abilities, Updraft, launches her into the air a few meters, allowing her to very easily get into spots that other characters are going to have a much more difficult time getting to, if they even can at all. Keep in mind though, there is fall damage in this game, so be careful not to activate this while jumping off of a ledge, lest you risk breaking all of your ankles.

9 TAILWIND

Another ability of Jett's is called Tailwind, and it basically works like Updraft, except instead of launching you upwards, it launches you in whatever direction your character is already moving. Want to rush forward? Go for it. Need to dash to the side? Not a problem. Making a hasty retreat? Just push the button.

8 CLOUDBURST

Cloudburst is another smoke bomb type ability in Valorant, though, like all of them, this one works a little bit differently. Jett simply throws the cloud out of her hand, and that cloud will detonate into a bigger version when it comes into contact with a wall (or has traveled a certain distance). Plus, this cloud can be curved around walls, like a bullet in Wanted. (Which, let's face it, is pretty cool)

7 BLADESTORM

Jett's Ultimate ability, Bladestorm, has the possibility of being an easy victory in a fight or completely and utterly useless; it all comes down to how good you are at aiming the blades, and how quickly your enemy is going to put you down.

These blades do hefty headshot damage, one-shotting any character in the game, regardless of their armor. All of the knives can be fired at the same time, too, like a shotgun blast of blades, though the accuracy will suffer a bit.

6 CLOUDBURST HAS A HIGH SKILL CEILING

Because Cloudburst can be curved around walls, it has an extremely high skill ceiling. Once you've got the hang of curving it to your leisure, you can get it around/through multiple impasses and exactly where you want it to go, all without putting yourself in any danger whatsoever.

5 CREATE COVER FOR PUSH

Cloudburst can be used for one of two reasons, one of those being to help in a push. While it's not always a good idea to limit your own visibility during a push, sometimes it's necessary in order to give you the possibility of moving through a hallway and into the room in question. Cloudburst can help accomplish this task with ease.

4 CREATE COVER FOR DEFENSE

Cloudburst can also be used in the opposite effect; forcing enemies to enter an objective blind. With one or two teammates around you ready to open up the shooting gallery, unless the enemy is incredibly lucky with their guess as to where you are, they're going to walk into a situation that they aren't going to walk out of.

3 EASIEST CHARACTER TO PARKOUR WITH

Jett has two different movement-type abilities that are incredibly easy to use, making her the character that has the easiest time parkouring into an advantageous situation. Getting a vertical angle that your enemy isn't anticipating is going to lead to one of the easiest gunfights in the history of all gunfights, and Jett can put herself into the situation with ease.

This forces the enemy team to adjust and look at some angles they wouldn't typically have to as often, and can really push them out of their comfort zone.

2 PRESS THE ADVANTAGE

Jett can also press the advantage better than any other character, too. She can close a gap with truly frightening speed, and if close enough, she can make it to a retreating enemy before they've had much of a chance to take more than two steps towards safety. Just be wary; once you've done this a couple of times, an enemy is liable to start baiting you with a fake retreat, instead simply backing up with their gun ready for you to dash around the corner.

1 AGGRESSIVE AND UNPREDICTABLE

Jett is at her best when she's aggressive and unpredictable. The majority of her abilities revolve around getting her into advantageous positions for a gunfight, making her deadly in the hands of someone with some really solid aim. Sure, sometimes you're going to die early as Jett; but that is far less harmful to your team than dying early as Sage or Sova would be. Be aggressive, continuously change up what you're doing, and you're going to find yourself playing against an enemy team that is far too tilted to do much of anything about you.
