The release of Valorant has proven to be a staggering success for Riot Games, despite the game being a new IP unrelated to the League of Legends universe. But fans of League of Legends now falling in love with Valorant, too, have decided to create connections of their own. Namely, fans are creating fanart of crossover skins between League of Legends and Valorant.

Freelance illustrator and League of Legends fanartist Wandakun is perhaps the most prominent example. She recently posted three fan-made crossover skins for League of Legends on Twitter. The first is a Sage x Akali crossover, second is a Phoenix x Ekko crossover, and the third is an Omen x Zed crossover. All three are exceptionally done pieces of concept art.

That's just where the fun starts, however. One fan of Wandakun's work decided to tag League of Legends' current game director Andrei van Roon, AKA Meddler. The person mentioning them was none other than Valorant's director, Ziegler. Ziegler's message to Meddler read, "this is amazing @RiotMeddler let's talk. Meddler's response was, "Damn, that's pretty legit. We should see what we can figure out."

While it's not a confirmation or an announcement that League of Legends and Valorant will have crossover skins, but it's definitely movement in that direction. For fans of Riot Games, it's a fun possibility, plus it could grow into even bigger and better things in the future.

League of Legends and Valorant are available now on PC.
