Valorant has just been out for a month and the game has already amassed a huge player base. The tactical-shooter has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from players and it seems like Riot Games has created yet another masterpiece.

Valorant is already on its way to being a mega-popular game, and its success seems all-but-inevitable. The game has all the right attributes to compete with other major titles, and it will most likely do so in the near future. However, like every game, there are certain aspects where the game can be improved. Here are the 5 biggest changes that Valorant needs and 5 features we hope Riot Games add to the game.

10 A Separate Solo And Party Queue In Ranked Mode (Fix)

Playing against a full premade squad is never fun, especially when you are playing solo. The premade squad will likely crush your team since they already have synergy and communication nailed down. Currently, there are no separate options to queue as a solo player or in a party, which essentially makes the ranked mode a coin flip. Whichever team has premade players will most likely win the game, and although its completely random, separate queuing options are very much needed in the game.

9 More Game Modes (New Feature)

As of now, there is only one game mode available in the game. Although Valorant is made to be a competitive multiplayer game whose identity revolves around the standard game mode, its always good to have multiple game modes. This not only brings variety to the game, but it also becomes a good spot for players to have fun and blow off some steam after hours of grinding in the standard game mode.

8 Players Should Be Notified When Someone Gets Banned (Fix)

No matter which game it is, toxic players will always find a way to ruin it. A game with such a huge market and potential, Valorant is bound to get a lot of toxic players. It isn’t something out of the blue and big games have always struggled with ragers, toxic players, or players who intentionally want to ruin the experience for other players. It’s really crucial how the developers try to deal with this problem and minimize it as much as possible.

As of now, there is a reporting system active in the game, but it doesn’t notify when a player reported by you gets suspended or banned. Contrary to Valorant, Riot Games’ staple title League of Legends does have a reporting system that notifies you when a player gets banned. This feature will most likely come to Valorant in the future as well, but it would be much better if Riot Games adds it quickly.

7 An Overall leaderboard (New Feature)

Valorant doesn’t have a leaderboard where players can see how far they are from the next rank. Even the Matchmaking Ratings (MMR) is hidden, and there isn’t a way to check it. A leaderboard will not only motivate players to improve, but it also acts as a reality check for players and where they stand. It will also help players to calibrate their strengths and weaknesses. Either a leaderboard, or a system where players can see their MMR, will significantly make the ranked mode better

6 A Better Sound System (Fix)

A lot of players have complained regarding the iffy sound system in the game. In an FPS, hearing footsteps is very crucial and helps in gathering information. Although the sound system is decent in Valorant, it’s definitely a little pale when compared to games like CS:GO. It’s a major factor in one’s success in any Valorant match, and when going up the ranking system, it becomes even more prevalent. It’s vague at times and often confuses the players instead of helping them. Players have pointed out that switching the “surround sound” in Headphones does improve the situation, but it is definitely something Riot Games need to address quickly.

5 More Daily Missions/Weekly Missions (New Feature)

Grinding the ranked mode of the game for countless hours gets boring and repetitive at times. To eliminate this, Riot Games can add in-game missions that are not related to competitive mode. This will keep the game fresh, and players will always have something to do, apart from just grinding the ranked mode.

Combining missions with exclusive rewards for completing them will only improve the overall playing experience of the game.

4 A Balanced Roster Of Agents (Fix)

A key part of the game is the different Agents present in it. Agents are the player-controlled characters in Valorant, each of which possesses unique abilities and attributes. Although all of them bring something unique to the table, not everyone is viable, especially in ranked mode. Agents like Sage and Breach are busted while Jett and Raze are hardly played in the high elo. The roster needs to be more balanced so that every Agent is at least viable in the competitive play. Only a few Agents dominating the meta will lead to imbalance, and the game will essentially only revolve around those powerful Agents.

3 Being Able To Accept Or Decline Matches (New Feature)

A very common and much-needed feature that is missing in Valorant is being able to accept or decline matches. Once a player queues up for a game and a match is found, players have to play the game regardless of if they want to or not. Especially now that ranked mode is live, it’s pretty much necessary. Almost every multi-player game including Riot Games’ own League of Legends has this feature and Valorant definitely needs it.

2 A More Optimized Game (Fix)

Even though Valorant’s system requirements are very low, a lot of players have been facing FPS issues while playing the game. FPS drops have been plaguing the Valorant community since the game’s release, and not much has changed even after the recent updates. Players with high-end gaming rigs are struggling to get decent FPS, especially in gunfights. The game needs more optimization so that players can have smooth gaming experience.

1 Downloadable Game Replays (New Feature)

Downloadable game replays will immensely help players to analyze their gameplay and improve. Although game replays can be downloaded/recorded with the help of third-party applications, it would be great if Riot Games introduces an in-game feature for the same. Riot Games added a feature to League of Legends last season where players could download or watch replays of all the matches in the active patch. A similar feature will improve the overall quality of the game and will help Valorant enthusiasts to get better.
