An image in Riot Games’ latest announcement teased the new Valorant Agent that will be introduced when Valorant launches on June 2, 2020. Additionally, a recently released trailer reveals another map that will likely be included in the full game as well as a new untested game mode.

Since Riot Games launched the closed beta of Valorant, the game has risen in notoriety to be favorably compared to other well established first person shooter games. Fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the new character who would be included in the full release of the game. An official blog post from Riot Games gave those fans a small sneak peak of the soon-to-be eleventh agent.

The blog post contained an image of the Valorant Agent lineup with a foot of a new character sticking out from the right side of the image next to Agent Sage. The foot has on a slightly heeled sandal with a black, purple, and what appears to be bronze or gold color scheme. Fans believe that this character may be named Sabine based on leaked pre-round voice clips of Valorant Agents who are already in the game. Others who have listened to these clips have speculated that Sabine has life draining or vampiric abilities based on the leaked voice clips spoken specifically by Agent Viper. However, these theories haven’t been confirmed by Riot Games and players will likely have to wait until the full game is out to see if they ring true.

With Sabine’s character announcement, fans have a lot to look forward to when Riot Games releases the full game next month. From a new Valorant map to play that appears to be based in Venice to a new untested game mode to a promised big Valorant content update later in the summer, players will have a great deal of exciting new in-game content to explore in the full game.

While the game is bound to grow its popularity and player base once the full game comes out online, it will be important to see how Riot Games handles the toxic Valorant players that are already causing trouble on the closed beta version.
