Over the last few years, some Grand Theft Auto Online players have created dedicated GTA RP servers, with the most popular - and the one that Valkyrae joined and then felt she had to leave for good - being the NoPixel servers. Since 2013, Grand Theft Auto Online has allowed players to create their own characters and partake in various activities in a world that is separate from the campaign contained in the accompanying Grand Theft Auto 5.When Grand Theft Auto Online RP servers saw a boost in popularity in the summer of 2022, a ton of streamers joined the party and helped boost the resurgence. However, while YouTube streamer Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter initially joined the Grand Theft Auto Online crowd and was what she referred to as "addicted" to it for a while, she recently explained why she eventually stopped playing altogether.RELATED:GTA Online May Get Fast Travel FeatureAppearing on kkatamina’s New Year's Eve stream, the 100 Thieves co-owner explained that the GTA RP community caused her to step away from the No Pixel server and the game. After initially admitting that she was absolutely hooked by what the GTA RP servers had to offer regarding adventures in the world of Grand Theft Auto, she eventually had to take some breaks. Finally, she said that the community drove her away entirely.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/MyaForDayz/status/1609411757021483012[/EMBED_TWITTER]"I just can’t handle that kind of crazy," the streamer explained. "Every other crazy is tolerable, but GTA 5 RP community crazy is scary crazy." She alluded to people on the server being especially weird to her because she's relatively new to this version of the game and was still trying to figure things out. She then detailed some of the "newbie" mistakes she made that would aggravate other players, including forgetting that she'd met a certain other player and then having to ask their name again. Those kinds of reactions from other users eventually saw her go from taking breaks to deciding she wouldn't go back. It's safe to say those kinds of interactions played a part in Rockstar updating some of the GTA Online RP server's policies. It doesn't appear that Valkyrae is alone in having some less-than-positive experiences using the GTA RP servers. There's been a long list of people who have been banned including some popular streamers like xQc. Some of those bans have obviously been for reasons other than bad behavior. Still, Valkyrae has clearly run into people who she felt were behaving in a way where she couldn't continue to subject herself to their reactions and attitudes. On the other hand, the 100 Thieves co-owner said that she understands plenty of people out there that aren't "crazy." She added that she felt it was "awesome" to see some of the lengths people will go to when they are using the Grand Theft Auto RP servers. It's just not a community she feels like she can be a part of anymore.Grand Theft Auto Online is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.MORE:Recent Rockstar Developments Suggest GTA 6 Plans Could Be Massive
