Since Valheim released via Steam Early Access in February it has enjoyed a meteoric rise to popularity. Fans have spent the last month exploring Valheim and its potential thoroughly, with some truly amazing builds coming out as a result.

Valheim is the newest survival game to take the gaming industry by storm. It places players in the shoes of warriors slain in battle who are sent to Norse mythology's titular purgatorial realm to cleanse it of terrible beasts that have called it home. To do so players have to collect resources, craft equipment, and build bases to survive and hunt down the monsters. The base-building mechanics are a highlight of the game, with it inspiring many players in the community to show off.

One of the more recent of these builds comes from the YouTube channel DEPPENTREFF. In a new video, they showcase a massive new roller coaster that takes their Karve ship, a transportation staple for Valheim players from a mountaintop to a body of water far below.

The scale and amount of resources required to build such a coaster is impressive in its own right. What makes it a truly incredible build, however, is the engineering necessary to make something so large. Building in Valheim involves a lot of attention paid to structural stability and having supports to keep everything upright, making building something as large and complicated as this quite impressive.

The video refrains from giving too many details on the build's specifics, but it does give enough views of the coaster for players to attempt one of their own now that it is proven to be possible. The ship roller coaster joins an already extensive list of crazy builds that have been pulled off by the Valheim community. From a recreation of the Eiffel tower to an innovative method to build spiral staircases that open up the base building, the possibilities in Valheim seem endless, making it no surprise that the game has maintained its popularity.

Valheim is an Early Access game and a young one at that. This puts the game in a very good position to innovate, improving the game and its mechanics based on player feedback and reactions. The volume and variety of builds that the community keep sharing will undoubtedly grow as the game receives updates and more building options are added up to its full release.

Valheim is available now through Steam Early Access on PC.
