It has been very difficult for players to get their hands on Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards as a consequence of the ongoing pandemic. Now, one Valheim player has taken it upon themselves to make their very own. Only, it is built entirely in Valheim.
Valheim is the popular Viking-themed survival game that experienced a meteoric rise in popularity after launching through Steam Early Access. Valheim boasts a robust building mechanic that allows players to make complicated bases and other structures to help them survive the hostile world. While many of the builds the community posts are impressive while also being visually appealing, none have gone so far as to make their own monument to a graphics card before.
The build was posted to the game's subreddit by Reddit user _-GH05T- and includes an edited video that shows all of the build's intricacies. The build is rather large and the likeness is very accurate. The video also says that it was made entirely with no mods, which adds the build to a long list of impressive Valheim builds possible without mods. In the comments on the post, _-GH05T- also said that the build only took them a single evening after taking the time to plan it out and gather the necessary resources beforehand.

The accuracy of the build is particularly impressive, although _-GH05T- does list some smaller inaccuracies in the comments that most viewers probably won't even notice. They say that the bow tie in the center is a bit off, that the fan is too small, and that the grills are slightly inaccurate. With all of that accounted for the accuracy of the build is still very impressive with it even including the mounting hardware and different ports that one would find on a physical 3080.
With companies saying that the computer ship storage could last into 2022, maybe _-GH05T- will have to jump in and help Nvidia with manufacturing some more 3080s for players.
There are a lot of really incredible things that the Valheim community has done since the game launched. With how varied and customizable the building system is, it is no wonder that Valheim has maintained its community as long as it has. With the game still being part of Early Access, it will undoubtedly receive a variety of updates in the future. It will be great to see what new materials, mechanics, and features are added into the game as well as what the community manages to build with them.
