Valheim players have an exciting, albeit dangerous, world to explore. Across the biomes in the game, players have to fight off difficult enemies in order to establish bases. Despite this challenge, players have created some incredible builds in their Valheim worlds. In the latest display of player creativity, one gamer showed off their Plains biome base that is shaped just like a spider.

Valheim is a Viking survival game that tasks players with advancing through the game’s different biomes. It features a building mechanic through which players can create numerous structures to help fend off the enemies of the world.

This clip comes from u/simsekcountr, and it gives an impressive overview of this imaginative idea for a base. The entire structure features eight long stone structures that each jut out from the main building. From above, this gives the base an appearance just like a spider, and, fortunately, it also features an impressive internal area. The camera goes from this sky view through the ventilation gap at the top of the main structure to show an expertly laid out base inside. They have set up an elevated platform with a throne as well as almost every crafting station in Valheim in this small but well-thought-out space. This alone would be a great option for any player, but, underneath this space, they have a small bedroom that features additional stations, storage, and even a portal.

Valheim has been home to some incredible player builds thus far, and this is no exception. While some may wonder why u/simsekcountr chose to build in Valheim’s challenging Plains biome, it should be no surprise when they notice the building materials used. The mix of stone and shingle roofing requires materials that are plentiful in this biome and easily gathered here.

The fact that Valheim requires its players to be involved in each step of the building process helps tie the player to the build more than other games. Seeing a creation go from idea to mining materials and through construction can be especially satisfying for some. Just from this short video, Valheim players will likely be able to tell how much hard work went into creating this structure.

It can be a bit frustrating, however, to get the number of resources that builds such as this require, and that will definitely put some players off. Especially those who are looking for a quicker process. Regardless of how players feel about the resource harvesting in this game, this player made an impressive base in this challenging biome.

Valheim is available now for PC and will come to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in Spring 2023.
