As the only true alloy in the game, a metal made from combining 2 other metals, Bronze fits into a unique crafting niche in Valheim, the surprisingly popular Norse-themed survival game by Swedish developer Iron Gate AB. Like other metals, it is used for crafting tools and structures, however, players will need to perform an extra step compared to preparing other metals for crafting if they want to harness this malleable resource.

With this said, it's not that difficult to obtain Bronze, as the base metals to form this alloy are relatively common, therefore players enjoying the fantasy landscape should be able to craft their Bronze tools and building components soon enough.

The first step to crafting this alloy is to obtain the 2 metals that need to be combined to form Bronze: Copper and Tin.

Where To Find Copper

Copper Ore is mined with a pickaxe from boulders that possess subtle streaks of shiny brown that are otherwise indistinguishable from regular boulders. These desirable nodes can be found in Black Forest biomes and tend to spawn in the ground a lot, so be sure to dig beneath Copper Ore-rich boulders to find even more of the orange metal.

Where To Find Tin

This less colorful yet equally useful ore is also found in Black Forest biomes, however, the shiny silvery deposits of Tin Ore are found near streams, creeks, and rivers along the waterline. In the sunlight, the reflective surface of these deposits should be easy enough to spot.

How To Combine Copper & Tin To Make Bronze

After obtaining Copper and Tin Ore, players will need to smelt each metal individually to get finished Copper and Tin to work with at the forge. With these 2 component metals in hand, players can then process Bronze at a Forge by using Copper and Tin as ingredients. The recipe ratio here is 2 to 1, meaning that for every 1 piece of Bronze, players will need 2 Copper and 1 Tin, so be sure to collect a lot more Copper Ore when out harvesting resources.

Bronze is primarily used in crafting armor and weapons, however, it is still used as a structural component in a few non-wearable items that can be beneficial. Furthermore, players will need a great deal of Bronze to fully upgrade the armor and weapons if they want the highest-quality gear.
