Valheim is a popular Steam game that has become a new sensation for Twitch streamers. The open-world survival RPG allows fans to live out their lives in a mystical world that tasks players with crafting, building, and exploring. Some players might be having trouble finding the specific location where the Trader is, but it turns out that the Trader won't be in the same spot for everyone, since Valheim is a procedurally generated game.

The Trader is an NPC that Valheim players can find to sell their items to, and of course, they can also purchase a couple of items from the NPC too. To find the Trader, players will need to search around the Black Forest biome. The Trader will appear at a random location on the map, and players might even be able to find them faster if they start the game off in the Black Forest.

As mentioned previously, players can sell items to the Trader to get extra currency in their pockets, such as Amber and Rubies. As for what players can currently purchase from the Trader, here's a list of all of the items, their current price, and their stats.

  • Yule Hat - 100 Coins - Weight (1.0) - Armor (1)
  • Dverger Circlet - 620 Coins - Weight (1.0) - Armor (2)
  • Megingjord - 950 Coins - Weight (2.0)
  • Ymir Flesh - 120 Coins - Weight (0.3)
  • Fishing Rod - 350 Coins - Two-handed weapon - Weight (1.5)
  • Fishing Bait - 10 Coins

To get more coins to purchase these items, players can simply defeat enemies, find treasure in dungeons, and loot any chests that they see out there on their adventure through Valheim.

As of right now, Valheim is currently in Early Access, meaning that the game's full features are yet to be released. There's not a lot that players can do with the Trader at this time, but the development team will be releasing updates, patches, and new features to keep the game progressing in terms of its content. It's very likely that a change will come soon that will add more items to the Trader's shop or other neat options. There was a patch released a few days ago that fixed many of Valheim's issues and these will keep coming as the game eventually leaves Early Access and officially launches.

Sitting right underneath World of Warcraft and Apex Legends, Valheim has certainly become a hit amongst streamers. As of the time of writing, Valheim has 55K viewers on Twitch, which means that this indie survival title is definitely here to stay, at least for a while.

Valheim is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam.
