Most of the time, harvesting resources in V Rising is a simple process; find the resource needed on the map, then go to that area. But players who try to repeat this process for any of the crude gems are going to be disappointed. They aren't easily found on the map.

Furthermore, there aren't any that spawn with regularity. Stone nodes have a chance to be gem nodes, but hoping for the best isn't a good way to get a trove of jewels. But don't give up! There are a few places in V Rising that are ideal for gem farming.

Best Farming Spots

It's taken a full community effort to find the best places for gem farming. The gamers had to factor in things like where the stone nodes are, where the Stone Giants patrol, respawn timers, and how long it takes to get between nodes.

The ideal place is perfect for those who have learned to fast travel, possessing a waygate within its border. This region also doesn't have any particularly scary enemies, being in the first area and right outside of a spawn location. It's safe, quick, and bound to have at least a handful of gem nodes every pass.

V Rising Another Good Spot To Farm Gems

In the northwestern Dunley Farmlands, there is another spot, Bedrock Pass, that actually has regular gems and labels, though it's a bit out of the way. Gamers who have built a castle in the area will likely have done so solely to farm this location with regularity.

What To Look For

Look for stone nodes with prismatic shards sticking out of the base. This denotes a gem node. Grab a mace for expeditious farming and crack away at it until the node disappears. Collect the gems. Also, take out any Stone Golems wandering this area, they are guaranteed to drop at least one crude gem.

If the luck just isn't working out after an initial pass, don't despair. Swat at the regular stone nodes, forcing the game to repopulate them after a while. Odds are good that these old nodes will be replenished with some gem nodes. Whether it's ruby, sapphire, emerald, topaz, miststone, or amethyst gems, they'll pop out of these rocks. After a few sweeps, vampires should have enough to craft just about any piece they want.

V Rising is available in Early Access on PC.
