The barrier between the midgame and endgame in V Rising appears to be the Hollowfang Battlegear. Players that are eager to conquer the game will surely need some about halfway through their adventure. But with technological upgrades unclear, how can players get ahold of it?

Kill Quincey The Bandit King

V Rising Targeting Quincey The Bandit King To Unlock Hollowfang Battlegear

In the first area of the game, players will eventually run into and defeat Nicholaus the Fallen, one of the highest-rated bosses in the Farbane Woods. The good news is that the boss who must be killed to unlock Hollowfang Battlegear is the same level.

Use the Blood Altar to track his location, he's inside of the Bandit Stronghold. To open up the way to him, players will be blocked by a gate that says it requires explosives to open. Alternatively, the Bear Form's special ability can knock down the gate, unlocked by finding and beating the Ferocious Bear boss.

Crafting The Hollowfang Battlegear Set

V Rising Items Needed To Make The Hollowfang Gloves

After defeating Quincey the Bandit King, players still won't be immediately able to craft the Hollowfang Battlegear. One technology unlocked in addition to the gear is the tailoring bench. The Hollowfang Battlegear must be crafted at this station.

Exact quantities will vary from server to server, but players will need to gather cotton yarn, leather, and wool thread in order to make each piece.

This truly is a gateway to the endgame as the best armor in the game is also crafted at this tailoring bench. From here, it's all about killing V Bloods and building up the castle.

V Rising is now available in Early Access for PC.
