The Alpha Wolf is a Level 16 boss in V Rising, and players that dispatch it will earn a very useful reward for their efforts. That reward is the Wolf Form power, which allows fans to traverse the game's map more quickly. That said, players must locate the Alpha Wolf in V Rising before they can slay it and extract its power, and that is not always the easiest thing to do.
V Rising: How to Find Alpha Wolf
The first step toward finding the Alpha Wolf is to construct a Blood Altar near the Castle Heart. This is something that players will do as part of a quest, and they should interact with this V Rising structure once it is placed. Fans should then select the Alpha Wolf from the top of the Blood Altar menu and click on the "track blood" button that is below its portrait.
This action will cause a pulsating red trail to appear, and it will lead players to one of three Wolf Dens in the Farbane Woods. These three dens have been marked on the map that is below, and while it is possible that survival game fans will encounter the Alpha Wolf upon arriving at one of these locations, that will not always occur. This is due to the fact that the boss is not stationary and will roam in the areas surrounding the dens.
This mobility can make the precise position of the Alpha Wolf a bit difficult to pinpoint, and vampire video game fans may feel as though the red trails are pointing them in all directions as they explore the Wolf Dens. If a player is experiencing this phenomenon, it is recommended that they stand still until the trails are providing clear and consistent information about where to go next.
If, after employing this technique, the player is still unable to find the Alpha Wolf near a den, they may want to consider pressing Esc and using the Unstuck feature. After engaging with that feature, fans can try to track the enemy once again, and hopefully they will have better luck this time around.
To note, the Alpha Wolf is not very difficult to defeat, provided that the player has suitable gear in V Rising and makes some effort to dodge its attacks. Indeed, the real challenge here is locating the foe, and hopefully the information contained within this guide will have made that part of the process easier.
