Nintendo Confirms Upcoming 3DS & DS Games

3DS and DS Games Coming Out in 2011

It's hard to believe that both the Nintendo 3DS and Pokemon Black and White launched just last month, but since those Nintendo-made time-killers are officially in the past. That just leaves one question, what games are coming out soon that we should look forward to playing? It's a question that many have been wondering for the past few weeks and fortunately, Nintendo has sent out an official press release that lists off every title coming to a Nintendo handheld within the next three months.

The list is not very impressive on the DS side of things, but 3DS owners will be getting a few solid titles before Summer rears its Vitamin D-filled head. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is one of the games confirmed to appear this June on the 3DS, and it is sure to be a mega-hit for Nintendo. Other big games for the Nintendo 3DS include a handheld debut for a classic fighting franchise called Dead or Alive Dimensions, while the indie-hit Cave Story 3D will also be making an appearance.

You can check out a full list of titles and release dates for new games coming to the DS and 3DS below.

Nintendo 3DS

Those are all of the games that owners of Nintendo's handhelds have to look forward to for the next little while anyway, and for the most part they are dissapointing. The DS lineup of games has never been jaw-droppingly awesome, but the fact that there are only two or three 3DS games that seems promising is a little bit of a bummer. Ocarina of Time 3D should help tide over anxious gamers for a little while (even though its the N64 game), but hopefully some bigger games will come onto the scene in as soon as possible.

Be sure to stay tuned to Game Rant for news on new games coming to both DS and 3DS in the near future.

What do you think of the list of upcoming handheld games? Will you be purchasing any of them?
