Animal Crossing: New Horizons has easily been one of the biggest successes on the Nintendo Switch following its March 2020 launch. The game achieved massive popularity during a time when many were encouraged to stay home and became the second best-selling Switch game, only behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The game's freedom with allowing players to design and customize both their own house and their island as a whole has led to plenty of stunning fan creations. Now, one fan has put their own Animal Crossing spin on a classic card game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' popularity with fans has seen many sharing their own creative takes on the game. New Horizons has played host to stunning re-creations of popular media franchises like Super Mario Bros. and Jurassic Park, as well as unique themed islands like factories and palaces. Some of the game's more crafty fans have even made real-life recreations of Animal Crossing characters through dolls and watch designs. Now, one inventive islander has created their own Animal Crossing-themed UNO deck under the name "NOOK."

Mr_Pioupiou's New Horizons-themed UNO deck is one of a plethora of stunning physical creations crafted by Animal Crossing fans. Animal Crossing's popular unique villager designs have been a popular subject for craft projects like a crocheted doll of Vesta and a pie featuring dog musician K.K. Slider. Many fans in the comments were quick to express their desire for a purchasable form of the cards with most complimenting the craftsmanship of the deck. Some also recognized the user from a previous creation where they made a wooden Animal Crossing Switch dock.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' massive success was bolstered by the November release of the game's first major DLC, Happy Home Paradise. The DLC pack not only introduced plenty of upgrades for New Horizons' design system, but also a new request story where players create designs to fit a character's specifications. Happy Home Paradise was also confirmed as completely free to users who sign up for the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass. More than two years after its initial release, New Horizons remains one of the Switch's most popular games.
