Announced earlier this year, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves packages together Drake's final adventure in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Nadine and Chloe's mission in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The game is set to release January 28, 2022 and will have a whole host of improvements that Sony just recently spilled the details on over at the PlayStation Blog. However, while this is the complete edition of both Uncharted titles, the collection will seemingly not include Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's multiplayer mode.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves will be host to a variety of graphical updates for both Uncharted titles including a Fidelity mode, for those who have a 4K display, and which will target a solid 30 fps. The high-framerate patch that's out for both games will carry over as well in a mode that puts the emphasis on 60 fps but will downgrade the resolution slightly as well. Interestingly, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves will have a Performance+ Mode which will allow players with a compatible 120hz display to play at 120 fps at a 1080p resolution.

As far as new features go for the collection, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves will of course utilize PS5's defining traits such as the PS5 Dualsense controller's Spatial 3D audio and adaptive triggers for even more immersion on Nathan Drake's last adventure. Load-times will also apparently be near-instant.

But when it comes to paying for this collection of highly-rated PS4 gems, it gets a tad confusing. For starters, the game will cost $50 digitally and physically. Those who have already purchased Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, or the digital bundle with both games, can pay just the $10 upgrade to the Legacy of Thieves digital verison. Also, owners of PS4 copies of these past games must insert them into the PS5 when wanting to access the PS5 digital versions. Furthermore, PS4 disc owners who decided to go with the digital PS5 console are not eligible for the discounted PS5 version. Players who snagged Uncharted 4: A Thief's End from their PlayStation Plus subscription are also not eligible for the $10 upgrade.

As a nice bonus, anyone who purchases Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves on the PlayStation Store from now until February 3, 2022 will get a voucher code for one ticket to see the Uncharted movie releasing in February. This offer is only available to people residing in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the US.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves releases on January 28, 2022 for PS5. The PC version will be launching at another date for both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
