The developers at Naughty Dog host a live stream on Twitch to reveal the new Survival Mode DLC and more for its action-adventure title Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

As previously announced, Naughty Dog is set to release a fresh batch of content for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End with a Survival Mode and multiplayer DLC package dropping sometime this week. In order to prime fans of the fourth entry in the action-adventure franchise for the launch of the add-ons, the developer has decided to schedule a live stream on Twitch for today that will allow them to take part in the reveals while resting comfortably at home.

Today's Uncharted 4 live stream begins at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET, and gaming fans looking forward to the forthcoming content drop can follow along with the reveals in the Twitch window below. As of writing, Naughty Dog hasn't completely explicated what the presentation will contain, or if it will have any surprise announcements, but it has promised to show off new content from the new cooperative and solo mode, Survival, as well as fresh multiplayer content.

Nearly a month ago, Naughty Dog revealed the existence of Uncharted 4's Survival feature by way of the co-op and solo mode's first trailer, which teased intense wave-based combat, new challenges, and – perhaps most excitingly – the ability to fight supernaturally-spawned pirates. The developer explained that Survival will have 10 maps and 50 total waves of enemies, containing a mixture of Shoreline mercenaries, armored brutes, snipers, and hunters. Fans should expect Naughty Dog to go into these details further with the impending live stream.

Of course, Uncharted 4's Survival update won't just include the new wave-based mode, but the game will also be given fresh updates to its competitive multiplayer component as well. Naughty Dog has promised that there will be new maps, weapons, skins, boosters, vanity items, and even more to come in the next patch. Most importantly, though, is the fact that all of this DLC will be released to fans for free.

Although it's a long-shot, there's still a possibility of Naughty Dog deciding to use today's live stream for Uncharted 4 to reveal even more materials than those related to the Survival Mode and multiplayer aspects. After all, fans have been starving for information regarding the game's story DLC, which has led to plenty of speculation online, but as of yet, the developer has remained relatively quiet on the subject.

Taking all of this into consideration, Uncharted 4 fans are undoubtedly happy about the prospect of receiving more free post-launch content for the game. Plus, with Naughty Dog currently spinning several different plates in the way of new titles, such as Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and The Last of Us: Part 2, the studio should be commended for continuing to provide such a gratifying amount of expansion materials for its latest release.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is available for PlayStation 4.
