A new PlayStation Experience airs on December 5 and reveals details about Uncharted 4’s motion capture process and voice talent, including Halo 5’s Laura Bailey.

Everything gamers have seen from Uncharted 4 has confirmed that the next installment in the action franchise, possibly Drake’s last game, will be incredibly cinematic. With such a big focus on story and character development, it’s no surprise that Naughty Dog is bringing in some serious voice talent to support Nolan North in the leading role. The latest reveal confirms that Halo 5’s Laura Bailey has been added to the cast of Uncharted 4 as an unconfirmed character.

Laura Bailey is no stranger to the world of video game voice acting. The talented actress recently played a role in Halo 5 and, before that, was a part of the Bioshock Infinite cast. At this point, Bailey’s role hasn’t been confirmed, but the picture below confirms that she has direct interactions with our Johnny Knoxville-inspired protagonist, so her part in the story is likely an important one.

The reveal of Uncharted 4’s cast addition, and the behind the scenes image, were released to build hype for this week’s Uncharted-centric PlayStation Experience. The panel is titled “Uncharted 4: Stories from the Performance Capture Set” and sounds like it will contain plenty of hints about the game’s story and characters for fans who are sick of delays and can’t wait until March.

Uncharted 4 Motion Capture

The PlayStation Experience panel airs on December 5 and goes live at 3 PM PST. Creative direction Neil Druckmann will appear on the panel alongside the game’s voice talent. Nolan North (Drake), Richard McGonagle (Sully), and Troy Baker (Drake’s brother, Sam) will all join Laura Bailey on stage to will discuss Uncharted 4’s motion-capture process. The teaser also hints that the panel will include never-before-seen cinematic clips and possibly new story details.

Considering the game’s title and teasers have all been hinting at a bad end to Drake’s adventures, longtime fans of the franchise are eager to know what kind of trouble the protagonist is in for. It is unlikely that the panel will offer any major plot spoilers, but die hard fans won’t want to miss the chance to learn any new details from the panel.

With the PlayStation 4’s lack of exciting exclusive content going into the holiday shopping season, it is very important for the console to impress gamers in spring 2016 with games like Uncharted 4. Although the game isn’t on sale for a few more months, Sony is banking on the game’s hype leading to some console sales over the winter. Although the majority of current PS4 owners have never played an Uncharted game, the franchise’s financial success will still say a lot about what the console’s user base is looking for.

What do you think of the addition of Laura to the voice cast? Do you have any predictions about who her character is? Let us know your theories in the comments.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is set for release next year on March 18, 2016, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
