Earlier today we gave you the breaking news that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is ready to unveiled at the VGA's this Saturday. Those of you who were floored by this news – and have since regained consciousness – will be excited to know that the first live demo of the game will be shown on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon next Monday.
The producer of Late Night, Gavin Purcell, broke the news today on his Twitter account, detailing that on December 13th, Naughty Dog will be in the studio to show the world gameplay of the highly anticipated sequel.
Jimmy Fallon has proven time and time again that he's a huge geek as well as a gamer. This past year he had a full week dedicated to video games where the show helped preview Need for Speed Hot Pursuit with producer Jesse Abney. President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Amie later showed up in-studio to show off Donkey Kong Country Returns and the Nintendo 3DS.
While NFS and Donkey Kong were highly sought after sequels, the Uncharted franchise has held a special place in most PS3 gamers' hearts. Naughty Dog has hit the sweet spot when it comes to combining quality story, graphics and gameplay, and Uncharted 3 is sure to knock gamer's socks off.
This title will take players to a new desert setting and while Drake will again be the main protagonist. The story of the third Uncharted will also give more backstory on his partner, Victor "Sully" Sullivan. Will this live demo show us a young Sully in action? We'll just have to tune in on Monday to find out.
As for the weekend before it airs, it's a very exciting time for gamers with the Spike Video Game Awards airing Saturday evening. We'll have the unveiling of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on the VGAs, an exclusive world premiere trailer for Portal 2 and much, much more.. All we need now is a launch date for Uncharted 3 and everything will be golden.
