New Blood Interactive is creating indie first-person shooters, taking inspiration from classics including Heretic, Quake, Doom, Half-Life, Thief, and more. Now, New Blood is ready to drop its latest creation on FPS fans. Today marked the launch of ULTRAKILL, the fastest-paced and most violent shooter from New Blood yet.

In ULTRAKILL, the setting is appropriately heavy metal. Mankind is extinct and machines fueled by blood are now all that's left on Earth. These machines, now hungry for more blood, are "racing to the depths of Hell in search of more," and the result is a nonstop battle against the dead, machines, and demons, in which blood is used to regain health. The title ULTRAKILL isn't just for show.

Gameplay delivers in the promise of ULTRAKILL's title, as well. Players in ULTRAKILL are incredibly mobile and pack an arsenal of powerful weapons, which they'll need to deal with hordes of enemies they'll face. ULTRAKILL will task players with chaining together combinations of kills to not just survive, but to better accrue score, too. Each level will have a ranking system encouraging players to replay and more efficiently and violently clear out enemies.

New Blood describes ULTRAKILL as Quake meets modern Doom meets Devil May Cry. Players will be able to experience it for themselves via the game's now-available Early Access launch, available at a discounted price of $15.99 through September 7. Early Access includes a 5-level prelude as well as the game's first 10-level Act, with two additional acts and more available by launch in late 2021 or early 2022.

ULTRAKILL is available now on PC via Early Access.
