Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is still heating up after a very beautiful slow-motion cinematic trailer of the game was released at the Tokyo Game Show this past week. Some of the newest characters can be seen in action butting heads against some of Marvel vs. Capcom's most iconic figures.

Capcom's push out of 2D character animation is prevalent as they masterfully animated an amazing trailer that breaks the boundaries of the space that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 never dreamed of. The attention to detail to the action and characters are just too incredible not to watch this trailer again and again.

This truly is gaming's greatest crossover for a reason and this trailer definitely gives it justice. The best part of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise is how simple the concept is yet how much detail they put into the character moves and gameplay.

Twelve new characters could not be contained from bashing in skulls as six additional fighters from both Marvel and Capcom join the original 36 from MVC3. Strider Hiryu, a returning favorite, had to have been a missing link to fans still latched onto MVC2. I always liked the vast variety of characters in MVC2 making it so not one character became stale on repeat playthroughs. Players can hope for even more downloadable characters to become available after UMVC3 is released. [Ed. note: That might lead to a re-re-release, titled Super Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.]

Nothing about the 3D character models or two-dimensional fighting plane has changed, but a few additional tweeks have been made. The "X-Factor," which grants players increased damage, speed, and health regeneration can be activated in the air, but unlike MVC3, players are given a shorter time to harness this power. A few other gameplay aesthetics have been modded as well such as the stage select screen.

Which new character can you not wait to get your hands on and which do you think are just a waste of development? Do you think they could have gone with any old fighters like Mega Man or added different characters they haven't even tapped into yet?

Let's hear your favorite line-up when you play and whether or not you think these new character will effect who you choose in your party.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom is set to release this November for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
