If fight fans have ever wanted to watch a real-life fighting tournament take place in a secret, undisclosed island location as fighters compete for their entertainment, the UFC’s Dana White has got them sorted. White has revealed he has “secured” a (non-Animal Crossing related) private island so that the fight promotion can continue to deliver fight cards amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking with ESPN MMA, White explained how he has the right to use the island for the next two months. The infrastructure for the island to host these fights is apparently being put in place now, with White’s plans to push ahead with their next pay-per-view event, UFC 249, event on April 18. He expressed his confidence in being able to get the UFC back “up and running” both internationally and in the United States.

White noted that, with the fight island set up, the UFC intends to deliver events “back to back to back.” Having missed three events, the promotion wants to make up for them and deliver them to fight fans worldwide, starting from UFC 249. The fight cards, however, have yet to be established.

In regards to transporting the selected fighters, White described how the UFC intends to bring them to their secret location. According to him, they will gather them together at an agreed place before transporting them to the temporary arena, promising that “they won’t know where they’re headed to.” It was noted that, alongside the Mortal Kombat-esque secrecy, the UFC fully intends to ensure fighter safety by putting necessary coronavirus precautions in place before anyone is allowed to enter the facility.
