EA Sports is slated to release many of its upcoming titles on the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5,  utilizing next-gen graphics to make the sports games look even more realistic. EA has previewed a few of the upcoming sports titles, but now EA Sports has finally announced the UFC 4 reveal date.

After previewing the sports titles, Madden NFL 21 and FIFA 21 at the EA Play Live, many fans were left wondering when the UFC 4 teaser would appear. A few leaks indicated the existence of UFC 4 and it was confirmed with a closed beta sign-up by EA, however, no official reveal was released until today. UFC 4 is officially going to be revealed at UFC 251, which is on pay-per-view on July 11.

UFC 251 could possibly be one of the most stacked fight cards in history, and is being hosted on an island with no fans amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fans will get to witness three championship fights and finally, the unveiling of UFC 4. A leak from the UFC Russia Instagram account hinted at UFC 251 as the official host to reveal of EA Sports UFC 4, but has only been confirmed less than a week out from the event.

The reason for the late announcement could be due to the many changes to the UFC 251 event, including fighters unable to compete due to coronavirus and the scramble to put on the event on an island, which has never been done before.

Many details about the game are still up in the air. Many wonder who the cover athlete will be and whether the game will release on Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 with the initial release. Fans are also hoping for new game features such as a GM mode or improvement on Ultimate Team mode to remove the infamous UFC microtransactions. The announcement at UFC 251 will hopefully answer many questions and build some excitement for a possible holiday release date.

UFC games have been hit and miss with a lot of features over the years. EA has put out the last three UFC games and has drawn criticism for the lack of innovation when it comes to improving the titles. EA Sports UFC 3 was well-received, but received the same complaints as the last title, which was a mundane ground-game and a shallow career mode with limited customization options. However, the presentation seems to improve with each new title, so many fans are expecting a beautiful looking game with UFC 4. Look out for the announcement between fights when UFC 251 starts on July 11th at 10 PM, ET.

EA Sports UFC 4 will be announced on July 11th at the UFC 251 pay-per-view.
