Ubisoft remains one of the most successful and celebrated video game developers in the world, releasing at least one or more heavy hitters every year. 2020 was no exception, with critically acclaimed games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising being among the most noteworthy releases last year. Not looking to slow down, 2021 has its fair share of blockbuster releases as well, as does 2022.

Ubisoft has spaced out its content across the coming months to ensure a healthy lineup of consistent games, from a variety of different genres. Below is a breakdown of all the sequels and new IPs on Ubisoft's upcoming schedule, with both rumored and confirmed games being highlighted.

Going into the holiday season, Ubisoft's biggest release is without a doubt Far Cry 6. The latest installment in the hugely successful open world series brings the action to the fictional Caribbean island called Yara, tasking players to bring down the ruthless dictator Antón Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito). Trailers for the game have teased the usual components that make up a Far Cry game, bombastic weapons, insane characters and a vibrant environment to explore.

For players uninterested in that series or who just prefer something more casual, Ubisoft has plans in those areas as well. Riders Republic should satisfy sports enthusiasts and thrillseekers everywhere. Looking to build upon the extreme sports concept from Steep, this title features multiple sports such as skiing, snowboarding and wingsuit flying. The online multiplayer also aims to be an enjoyable social aspect to the game, ensuring hours of exhilirating fun for gamers that pick it up. Lastly, both Rocksmith+ and Just Dance 2022 should be perfect for any fans of the rhythm gaming genre.

Kicking next year off with a bang is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction, finally hitting consoles and PC after a series of delays. Serving as a spin-off of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, but with a parasitic alien twist, the game looks like a memorable spin on the established formula. After this is a brand new game set in the Avatar universe titled Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The next-gen-only title is being developed by the same creative team behind The Division, which should bode well for the open world project considering that studio's pedigree.

Next up is the return of two familiar gaming franchises, coming back to the spotlight after some time away. Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope is the follow up to the surprise hit from 2017, continuing the successful blend of irreverent humor and addictive tacts gameplay in the original. Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake will also finally hit shelves after a significant delay from its initial release date in early 2021. The revamped visuals will provide both new and old fans with a fresh spin on the beloved classic.

TBA Released Dates and Rumored Ubisoft Games

Splinter Cell Open World

Ubisoft is certainly a busy company, with the publisher having just as many games in early (or rumored) development as it has titles actually prepping for release. Both Skull and Bones and Beyond Good and Evil 2 already have numerous years of development under their belts, yet still have no estimated release window. Little is known regarding the overall progress of both games, either, aside from the unfortunate rumor that Skull and Bones has completely restarted development.

An open world Star Wars game from the same team behind Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has also been confirmed to be in production. This project is likely in early stages and won't be ready for quite some time. Rumors also persist for a new Splinter Cell game year after year. Ubisoft keeps Sam Fisher alive as a guest character in other titles, so there may be some hope for the franchise to make a comeback.

Ubsoft has also announced a new game in the Assassin's Creed franchise called Assassin's Creed Infinity. This new take on the series will switch things over to a live service model with an emphasis on multiplayer gameplay. Little is known on when the game will land, aside from it being in active development. Lastly, the game Roller Champions, a 3v3 multiplayer game was supposed to be set for sometime in 2021. However, a lack of information in recent months is casting doubts on when this free to play Ubisoft title will actually be available.
