Ubisoft is one of the biggest third-party video game publishers in the industry, producing blockbuster releases like the Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy franchises, as well as experimenting with new IP regularly. There are rumblings that Ubisoft may be acquired at some point in the near future, but it remains to be seen if that will actually take place or not. While fans wait for more information on Ubisoft's future, the company has detailed three major releases that it plans on publishing by March 31, 2023.

As revealed in Ubisoft's latest financial report, the company has three games in particular that it plans on shipping by the end of next March. Assuming there aren't any delays or other issues, Ubisoft fans can look forward to playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and Skull & Bones within the next year.

For those who may not be following the games closely, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open world game set in James Cameron's Avatar universe. Expected to be out by the end of 2022, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is being developed by The Division studio Massive Entertainment, telling a standalone story with the player taking on the role of one of the blue-skinned Na'vi people seen in the films. The long-awaited Avatar movie sequel is also expected to release in December of 2022, so it seems fans of the franchise have a lot to look forward to this year.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, meanwhile, is a Nintendo Switch exclusive turn-based strategy game and a sequel to the well-received Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. The sequel features some major gameplay shifts and new characters, so it will be interesting to see if it's as warmly embraced as its predecessors. Like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, it's believed that Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will launch by the end of 2022.

Skull & Bones, meanwhile, is a game that could very well release in the first quarter of 2023 instead, though a specific release date has yet to be nailed down. Skull & Bones is a new pirate game from Ubisoft that has been stuck in development hell for years. The latest reports indicate that Skull & Bones is finally on track, and since Ubisoft believes the game will be ready to launch before March 31, 2023, it seems those reports are accurate.

As for when fans will get to see more of these games and other Ubisoft projects for themselves, that remains to be seen. It's possible that the company will host one of its Ubisoft Forward events this summer around the Summer Game Fest festivities, but nothing has actually been announced at the time of this writing.
